The game is essentially pure UI and with these simple visuals it was surprising to me, how laggy at was and how many problems I had with black screens, parcels disappearing, connections getting stuck, connections getting mangled when moving groups of notes, research menu working at 10 fps, broken arithmetic with counters going below 0 or above the storage limits. Its basic UI definitely was not designed properly for the late game with many nodes and connections.
Too buggy. There are many glaring bugs that should have been iron out by now. Object selection issues. poor instructions. mid/late stage snags without explanation (probably just a bug). inability to properly zoom in/out. difficult to copy/replicate.

[strike]Game is not abandoned. It is just that the developer ignores Steam. All updates have been on the official discord and there is some web beta. Very lame.[/strike] Dev is back updating on Steam. I hope the dev stays. I don't want to have to goto a discord to find out about the game I bought on Steam.
I really wanted to like this game, but there are some issues that were coming up more and more the longer I played it (currently 33h): 1. the game is in my opinion focused to much on the excavation fights, which is pretty much the only thing that is limited. You are allowed to build pretty much unlimited in your factory, but the excavation is what hinders technological progress and the excavation is limited in how many turrets you can build and thus how much firepower you got to fend off the critters. 2. The GUI crashes more often, the bigger you build. Sometimes single parcels go invisible, sometimes the whole factory does. Sometimes they return after a while, sometimes only a restart does help. 3. Sometimes single parcels turn "red" and do not produce anymore without any reason given. The only workaround I found is to raze that parcel and rebuild it, which immediately makes it work again. 4. the game does not run in the background. If the game looss focus, there are no ressources produced, no stuff is built. For a game where you litterally need hundreds of thousands of chips, this is just not acceptable, as there are extensive periods, where you cannot do anything but wait. The game started out fun, but felt more and more like work and there is nothing to look forward to, as the only thing I can still get is the last tech upgrade, then build a dozen factories to produce white tech and check off all the remaining boxes on the tech tree. yay.
New beta is bringing some needed depth to the game. Wish there had been some posts over the past several months once in a while. I had tried the early alpha of hexes when they first were mentioned and then when I thought the game went dead I uninstalled. Glad to see development kept on going because the update is pretty neat. Now just keep open those lines of communication even if it's just "still working on this, stay tuned". That would be enough :)
way too full of bugs that spring up when your factory gets bigger like: factory not displayed at all , latching onto buildings and doing stuff you dont want to execute at that moment when you click hotkeys, stuttering despite the factory only halfway built. unless that all is fixed no recommendation
I have played many iterations of this game and this one feels not great. Originally you were limited by the number of parcels and had to research more. Now you can spam as many as you want so there is really no challenge at all. So many bugs and half baked features. The excavation is just a time waster and super buggy. More of a cut scene than a tower defense that you actually have to think about. After so many parcels I started have a lot of visual issues with the map disapearing, parcels becoming unpressable until I spawned a new one and deleted it. I feel like it was a better game when I played it on release than it is now. At one point I got to a situation where I needed to add more turrets to beat the excavation level to get the next tech level but I had maxed out my warehouse capacity research and the UI was not letting me build any more warehouses so I was stuck. Thankfully I was able to copy and paste another warehouse so I could continue but I was hardly midway through the tech tree and there was a bug that made continuing impossible. Come back in another couple of years maybe it will be balanced and ready to play by then.
