This game is pretty fun. Can't wait for them to add more stuff. It would be great if they added the ability to make your own structures/defenses like in other tower defense games but perhaps that will come in an update down the road! Check out my overview on YouTube! - https://youtu.be/CbChar64OSU
Good game. I got it on sale for about 5.00. I do have constant firing with the rift s. I have been looking for a fix, but I dont think there is one, and I doubt they will fix it in the future. You have been warned.
My son and I have spent a number of quite fun hours with this game! The game is very much a "virtual reality arcade' feel - game mechanics are simple and quick to learn (although I strongly recommend paying attemtion to the time warping feature - it can really save you when things are getting a bit overwhelmning, and I played for a while before learning to use it properly!). The v1.1 update definitely improved balance, as the previous version really had a steep ramp over the first few levels, and I'm looking forward to seeing more updates as the game continues to mature!
I like this game. Loved missle command when I was a kid and put a lot more quarters in that game that makes the price for inbound seem like a bargain :) Great graphics and sound. Of course thier has to be a but, I don't know if it's just me but the aiming system seems flat to me. really hard to judge depth. maybe if the crosshair was more dynamic. Shrinking the crosshair or morphing the shape when your aiming farther. As an example when I'm teleporting in Vanishing Realms pointing the circle to aim your leap, the software gives you a good simulation of of how far your moving. I'm glad you made it and look forward spending more time in the game.
Take Missile Command, a sprinkle of Tron (the movie), and just a touch of the Matrix, and you get Inbound. Its fast paced gameplay, thumping music, and endless bombardment from mechs and aircraft make you wish you could slow down time just a little longer.
If you enjoyed playing Missile Command as a kid, you'll want this. Inbound is the ultimate VR version of it. With a bit more that just destroying missiles and planes flying overhead. The visuals in the game are impressive with other-world environments. It does have some good replayability, especially when you're trying to go for that high score or having a competition with a friend. I look forward to possible new modes or enchantments that the game may receive in the future. The music is pretty great also.
It's Missile Defense in the year 2016 and it's arcade-ish fun. Whoever played the original will feel themselves teleported into the future. I'm a nerd for having retro games being ported to VR, there's so much potential. This game proves that.
Inbound is EXACTLY the type of game I wanted in my VR library. If you want multiple genres of games, this is a MUST HAVE for general arcade fun. The graphics and atmosphere are well done, you feel like a giant protecting the colonies below and around you. The game starts at a good difficulty level of play that progresses quickly, but smoothly. Before you know it, you'll be swinging those plasma balls and shooting bombs like crazy! This is a FUN game, Its a very well done VR adaptation of a game from my childhood, Missile Command. Of the many ways this could be accomplished, the Devs put you right in the middle of the action! The incoming mechs and scanners add to the difficulty and variety of enemies. The flying mechs in later missions are huge and beautifully textured and they glide by. it was hard to blow it as I was admiring the modeling! Inbound puts you right in the middle of some intense ARCADE action that doesnt cost a pocket full of quarters to enjoy. Well Recommended
Visually amazing. Gets busy quick and you need to keep your eyes not just on the missiles in the air but the moveable platforms on the ground.
The good old days of atari missle command. way better graphics, add some catchy music to this game. You'll have a ton of fun with this game, exspecially when things start getting crazy. Game plays very well, no issues at all. Well worth the price the developer is asking for.
