I am writting this review because I see it on sale. This is a negative review. This game is bad. I really did try to like it. It just feels broken. The controls feel broken, the skills are unbalanced. I only played a few hours. I just did not want to try anymore. It just wasnt worth it to me. Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, just so many more out there that are really good. This feels like a lazy port. It fooled me because the video and store page made it look so good. Im giving this review to help my steam friends stay away from it. Also it helps me to really study before I get another unknow game.
Soweit, so klassisch. Soweit, so klassisch. HORRIBLE "GAME" DON'T EVEN BOTHER PLEASE!
Despite the countless glitches like some of the maps being offset slightly from the actual GUI surroundings, and the in-town personal stash deleting items you attempt to store away, the gameplay itself is half-way decent. At least your laptop won't overheat [shrugs]. The intra-dialogue attitude problems between characters and NPCs is quite comical lol.
This action RPG is a hidden gem in my opinion, especially with the price often on sale at 50 cents! It looks better than many games in the same genre, with realistic graphics and textures compared to something like Fate or Torchlight. Two playable characters that feel very different with a focus a little more on story than loot. It certainly puts Silverfall to shame, but that's like saying the flu is better than pneumonia.
Iesabel is an ancient mobile app from 2013. It's a whopping 10 years old at the time of this review. It's been updated by the developer, although it's unclear why given so few players bother with the game. It was more popular on the app stores, but seems to have been removed from direct sale on Google Play. This mobile app is a basic ripoff of Diablo, and for a 10 year old mobile app it doesn't look horrible, but it's not winning any awards. There's only two classes to choose from, a terrible story in rough English, it's ultimately a somewhat shallow game compared to Diablo and other successful, PC centric ARPGs. What really kills this is the sloppy, mobile phone centric gameplay... while you can get the game to work, it's just unpleasant to play. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the mobile app unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the mobile app was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The mobile app is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Iesabel didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the mobile app, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the mobile app didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for collecting 100 "orbs" in the game, trivial to get, but less than 21 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the mobile app. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the mobile app. Iesabel is relatively expensive for a mobile app on PC, at $5 USD, and it's not worth it. There's hundreds of better, free mobile apps, so there's no reason anyone should pay cash money for this on PC.
1. running is very slow, achievement "finish 2 act by walking only" is insane 2. stamina is running out while running, every 15 seconds "I need to recover" and I have to wait 5 seconds... 3. side quests without markers, I'm not searching for quest items while being this slow 4. bad map layouts, many dead ends without chests, mobs, shortcuts etc. 5. mobs getting bugged in the wall or in the air, can't attack them 6. drops from chests getting bugged, can't pick them up 7. chests can be empty... 8. many useless drops for the other bugged class (witch) 9. can't change the spells in the action bar if there are too many potions in the EQ... 10. HP/MP numbers are too small and unreadable 11. no dmg numbers from mobs, can't even see if I'm close to being dead 12. more Pinglish than English 13. the storage chest is bugged, items aren't being stored, they disappear... 14. can't do multiplayer achievements, multi is not working 15. have to finish the game on easy mode to unlock normal mode... 16. legendary items feel underwhelming, same icon as epic/unique/normal and 1 more bonus than epic, no special effects, only bonuses to stats 17. no mounts, skins, special interesting items, skill changers/boosters etc. 18. couple of quests are bugged, another achievement bites the dust 19. bosses' HP bars are bugged, they are missing... 20. grinding gear and gold is useless, you can buy legendary items for 5k gold 21. what's worse, seller's items reset after every TP, just spam TP and get every legendary...
