A bit too easy, BUT top tier streamer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. My fav are "the diddler" and the roach.
Pretty fun background game. I think a major improvement would be a better guide with more detailed explanations about the UI. Like for example; what do the Bitties do? Or what does the number in the bottom right labeled "amount" that you can change endlessly does? While on the topic of UI, it would be nice to decide how many of an upgrade you'd like to buy rather than it just spending all of your money on however many you can afford. The inputs seem a bit too fast paced sometimes, but I think having better defined arrows for the keys directions would alleviate that a bit. Being able to play in windowed mode with resolution options would be nice. Also with the volume for everything on zero, it can still be a bit loud sometimes. Finally, the characters bouncing constantly started to give me motion sickness after a while, because you have to stare at them when looking at the keys. Not an issue with Irate Hardware because he just squirms in his chair. Maybe the bouncing make it less frequent or add a setting to disable it altogether. Anyways, this genuinely is a pretty funny project, and I enjoyed the halfish hour Ive spent messing with it so far. Can't wait for Gockbound lol, good luck dude.
ngl, this is a great little game to improve response timing between eye and keyboard input. that whilst having fun about some mythical streamers and their takes out of context.
Admittedly, there isn't much to Idle Streaming Bonanza. It's a fairly straightforward "idle" game that is ultimately more fun to mod voice-lines in than anything. I did enjoy my time with it, but a lot of that was derived from personally detesting one of the parody subjects of the game. That, however, does not detract from its importance to freedom of speech and expression. When this game was in development, one of the parody subjects of the game attempted to have the game's progress halted through legal threat. This particular subject (Jason Thor Hall) is a nepo-baby of the highest caliber with an ego the size of Uranus. Jason Thor Hall (son of Joey Ray Hall of Blizzard fame) is a streamer and "game dev" (look into the absolute joke and scam that is Heartbound) who found himself in controversy at the time of ISB's development. At the time, Jason was involved with a Hardcore guild in World Of Warcraft known as Only Fangs. For those who don't know, "Hardcore" in WoW is a game mode where every death is permanent. If your character dies, that's 100's of hours just gone and up in smoke. Teamwork is a very important part of this game mode. Jason was involved in a livestreamed instance where his group was running a dungeon and were faced with a circumstance where all their characters were in danger of immediate death. While everyone in the group did contribute somewhat to this fate, Jason most notably did the least to help his teammates and fled the area to keep his character alive as two of his group members lost theirs. There was a lot Jason could of done to save his teammates in this instance, but he did none of them. This, mixed with his petulant and unapologetic behavior afterwards made him into a laughing stock of the Internet. During this time, the Dev of ISB added a roach character ('roaching out' being a term for how Jason fled in the WoW instance) into a test build and showed it off on Reddit. Jason, catching wind of this, threw a hissy fit on livestream and came after the dev with legal threats of false DMCA's to cease production of the game. The parody of him was not even in the playable demo build of the game, and he was trying to legally smother it in the crib. Nevermind that parody is legal protected under "fair-use". Thankfully after a few days of worry, a badass free speech defense lawyer from Connecticut, Mario Cerame, came to the Dev's defense and pimp smacked Jason's punk ass back into the corner where he belongs. Normally, I would tell you to buy a game or not based on how fun it is, with this one, whether you really end up playing it or not doesn't really matter. It's all of $5, you might have a bit of fun with it and it's really not that hard to complete (now that the achievements have been fixed). What really matters with this game in particular, is that giving $5 is a nice big "♥♥♥♥ YOU!" to power tripping nepo-baby egomaniacs like Jason who would use the legal system to silence dissent and critique of their childish and laughable behavior.
Fun and surprisingly deep idle game (but not deep). The tutorial could use some help explaining how 'bitties' works. I just like to see number go up, reset, and see number go up even more. Don't come expecting more than an idle game! It is something you can open up and play for 5 minutes or 5 hours at a time. Perfect. I hope this dev continues making new games with the passion and love he showed this game!
I'm not big on idle games but wanna support an indie dev when possible! I DLed this game and gave it a go. It's pretty addicting, and it's nice that I can play when the kids are about as well. There is a tutorial but I ended up not needing it. Had rush of dopamine hitting that Jackpot in plinko! Bet 5B just for the heck of it. phenomenal! lol I like the multiple streamer options and the art is silly. It's a good laugh listening to them as well. I havent completed the game to it's fullest yet but I look forward to it. Thanks Pvt. Parts. and of course thank you RoachSoftware for helping this game be so well known by covering it in salt. ♥
Didn't expect much, but for a little idle game it's actually quite a lot of fun.
Silly but fun idler, the streamers are sadly copy/paste skill trees which makes choosing one over the other kinda pointless but that could also mean you can choose any and not feel like one is objectively better than the other. The parody lines are pretty good if you know the reference and for a few bucks to help out a dev that was harassed for a joke, I think it's also a nice gesture.
dont buy this game out of curiosity, thats not worth it. also dont buy it for the achivements, alot of them just wont work.
Game has a potential but would need some extra work and improvements/polishing, developer is focused on another project os this one only gets minor tweaks and fixes. The game has some bugs as any indie game does, some are smaller, some are bigger. Also some things could use better planning/UX (minigames, save states, progression scaling, etc). Overall fun for maybe few hours.
