Pretty fun if you know how to play.
Nah. Play ITRTG instead. That one's good.
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Idle Cooking Emperor" is just one of thousands of non-free mobile apps polluting the "free" category on Steam, and it carries hidden, toxic monetization. This is an older mobile app scamware game whereyou tap on your iPhone screen on various food and restaurant related icons to challenge other restaurants (there's not enough players for this to be viable anymore), and of course victory is determined by how much of YOUR money you throw at the developers in the toxic cash shop. This is a purely superficial game experience designed for iPhones. The graphics and the mechanics are bottom-tier... imagine the gaudy, cheap plastic casing on the slot machines at the casino. That's what this is, a cheap flashy veneer on a shallow non-game with one single purpose... to get your money through nasty mobile app microtransactions. Ignoring that this is just a nasty predatory mobile app scam... at best, this is a garbage iPhone app. I didn't drop thousands on a high-end gaming rig just to pretend it's an iPhone, and I doubt you did either... this sort of trash has no business worsening your Steam library. As with all mobile scams, you're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality mobile app, this is specifically designed to invalidate your consumer rights and destroy your right to privacy. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? No way. This is just impossible to recommend to serious PC gamers. I didn't spend any money on this, but I still feel like I got scammed.

Gram w nią, żeby zdobyć zwierzaka do innej gry Shugasu (dobrej), Idling to Rule the Gods. Jak już zdobędę zwierzaka, odinstaluję go i postaram się zapomnieć o jego istnieniu. Ech. Nie jest źle, ale też nie jest dobrze. Grałem w nią, żeby zdobyć złotego smoka w Idling to Rule the Gods, a mój czas to w zasadzie minimum potrzebne do jego odblokowania.

worse. cooking. game. ever. Only play it if you play Idleing to Rule the Gods, and even then ONLY as far as you Have to. I will let the rest of the negative reviews speak for me.
Cooking is all well and good, but I will be the emperor!
To be fair I'd actually put this in a neutral category. As far as idlers go it's not bad the problem is that the developer has a game that does it so much better and hasn't really updated this one in forever. I would say that the game feels slower than most idlers and it's harder to feel like you're getting anywhere at first but, that may be due to the fact that I'm coming from Idling to rule the gods. Anyone coming from that game is already going to have a pretty tainted view of this game. The music is peppy but repetitive and loud so the fact that the game starts with the music turned off is a blessing. It would be nice if they came back to this game and overhauled it also finishing the text story that goes along with it (a habit this developer seems to have. They write a pretty good story but it's always half finished) The most glaring flaw is the fact that they have all sorts of stats in the game... but have no real meaning to them because the game itself says "just level it all up evenly". In the end though if you want to play an idler game you'd be better served (unintended pun) playing "Idling to rule the gods"
Only playing it for the ITRTG pet.
