The guy who made Idling to rule the gods makes us play this game to get bonuses on the other game. This game is pretty bad, as is the other one
I can't think of any reason to play this except to get the gold dragon in Idling to Rule the Gods, and even then it's just a total slog. This is a similar game except less interesting.
Gram w nią, żeby zdobyć zwierzaka do innej gry Shugasu (dobrej), Idling to Rule the Gods. Grałem w nią, żeby zdobyć złotego smoka w Idling to Rule the Gods, a mój czas to w zasadzie minimum potrzebne do jego odblokowania.
Mid game. Like a 4/10. Maybe a 3? Some of the mechanics in this game are very creative and somewhat enjoyable, but overall it's just very lackluster. The game has a tutorial, but even with it, it's a bit overwhelming at the beginning trying to understand everything going on, even though there isn't a lot. Really, the most important mechanics are the creation of recipes, cooking battles, and researches. Cooking battles are your path to progression, unlocking more avenues of revenue and new mechanics. The battles can be played well by the automated system, but if you find yourself lacking a bit, then manually managing sabotages and defends can get that edge. Recipe creation is by far the most important albeit complicated part of this game, but if you give a good amount of time spent tinkering and reading to learn how it works, it mostly becomes clear. I don't really want to explain how they work here, because there are guides that can explain the important stuff better. Researches can be easy to overlook, but they help a lot, benefiting both income and cooking battles. The main problem with the game is that it's just very slow, repetitive, and unexciting. There were moments that I enjoyed, like fine-tuning a recipe, but that was about it. Other than that, no mechanic in the game has very much room for user-driven input that determines the outcome or path of progression, making it feel less like a game and more like a job. For the most part, you just check in on every now and then and make sure things are running well, and although you could say that's how idle games are supposed to work, there's usually at least moments where your decisions matter or room to make the journey your own. Really, if you're playing this, it's for the Gold Dragon pet in Idling To Rule The Gods, because that pet is very useful. I looked at two guides on steam and used the information in them to finish the game in about 7.5 days, so it's not too bad of a time expenditure. Now, I believe there are challenges and more content beyond what I played to for the pet in ITRTG, so perhaps the game comes into its own more there, but I doubt it. I believe the developer has said they have no intentions of reworking or improving the game, as they're focused on developing ITRTG (which is actually pretty good), so know that this game isn't going to improve. Overall, unless for some reason I needed to get the pet again in ITRTG, I wouldn't play this game again, and I would never have played as far as I did if not for that either.
To be fair I'd actually put this in a neutral category. As far as idlers go it's not bad the problem is that the developer has a game that does it so much better and hasn't really updated this one in forever. I would say that the game feels slower than most idlers and it's harder to feel like you're getting anywhere at first but, that may be due to the fact that I'm coming from Idling to rule the gods. Anyone coming from that game is already going to have a pretty tainted view of this game. The music is peppy but repetitive and loud so the fact that the game starts with the music turned off is a blessing. It would be nice if they came back to this game and overhauled it also finishing the text story that goes along with it (a habit this developer seems to have. They write a pretty good story but it's always half finished) The most glaring flaw is the fact that they have all sorts of stats in the game... but have no real meaning to them because the game itself says "just level it all up evenly". In the end though if you want to play an idler game you'd be better served (unintended pun) playing "Idling to rule the gods"
A mediocre, grindy game with minimal fun
