Crashed every time I played it. It crashed in the tutorial twice. I've a 2080 Ti that EVERYTHING ELSE runs fine on. Except this game.

Unlike so many games like this under $10, this game actually has good solid lighting and doesn't try to force you to move through total darkness. Fluid and very responsive controls help make a fun gaming experience and the A.I. that tries to hide and shoot you with some level of intelligence also help the experience. I love this game, especially for the price and this is a fantastic first entry onto Steam by this developer, rosmic games. Well done dev! I scored this game at a whopping 95% first impressions score and I highly recommend this to any FPS fan looking for a budget game that delivers both fun and value.

It plays like a stripped back DOOM game. Complete with a snarky AI who tells you what to do, the game is a moderately paced FPS with aliens and face huggers to blast through. I really like the ability to change music at the jukebox. The AI is actually pretty smart which is uncommon for games at this level. Definitely a steal at $10NZD. https://youtu.be/58WRWVOjMtE

It's a very nice retro game that goes back to the roots of old games like the first Half Life. Positives: The graphics are amazing, especially on the planet level. The AI is smart and challenging. Overall the difficulty is quite high. The player needs to manage their ammo and health / shield drops properly. Weapons feel good to use, although there are not too many to choose from. Negatives: The length of the game is a bit short though, so don't expect the same game time as Half Life. The lack of sprint might not be for everyone. The enemies sometimes instantly turn around and give you a headshot, which feels very extreme in some cases. This happened not too often though. Overall I recommend this game for those who like old school shooters.

it is kinda interesting to play an old school shooter Much different from the new shooters are like since I was born in the new generation of games ok first of all, I played on someone else account because my computer cannot play it so '-')z dont try to point out I have 0.5 hours on the game thank you Though it is kinda hard to get around on your own but it is interesting I give it a 10/10 for exploring on your own with no stupid narrators and a 8/10 for the difficulty OwO ... I die alot soooo yeah Over all, a good recommation for those who wants to feel the old schools again

Crashed multiple times just trying to change graphic settings in options. Music was an assault on the ears.

Welcome to ID-EGO We are getting blessed with a large group of fps that are throwing us back to early 2000s and 90s in the past couple of years. Dusk, Amid Evil, Apocyrph, Wrath Aeon of Ruin are just a few great throwbacks to the 90s and even more recently Trepang2 is a awesome homage to Fear of 2005. But lets get back to ID-EGO. ID-EGO is different and in a good way its not a fps where you and run and gun if you did that you will die pretty quick. ID -EGO is a smart shooter taking your time looking around those corners and getting those much needed and satisfying head shots :) this never gets old in any first person game. The soundtrack is awesome the first couple of tracks took me back to the original deus ex soundtrack. The gameplay feels akin to the first half life, unreal 1 and the first deus ex to me minus the augmentations. The graphics are beautiful and somewhat simple at the same time reminding of the games this game is paying tribute too. The enemy roster is good and some of the troopers are actually quite smart ducking behind cover and when you reload they rush which was pretty cool to see. The level design is cool and has that old school feel to it like the levels from doom, quake and unreal. The weapons are nice and impactful i wish there was a shotgun though bit unusual for a old school shooter not to have a shotgun :( but the railgun was my favourite perfect for headshots. The only thing i can see hurting this game is maybe the price i mean don't get me wrong this is a awesome game but some people will see this price tag and go $36 aud for a 4hr game and also the ending which i won't spoil was a tad disappointing but other than that i really enjoyed it. Hopefully a sequel will be made and i recommend this game to anyone who enjoys first person shooters :)

There is a lot of garbage on Steam but this game isn't one of them. ID-EGO is by far, not the best looking game on the market, but graphics are not everything. The gameplay, gunplay, levels, and AI are decent and they work really well together. There is good balance and that's what I always want in a good FPS game. The pace is right and the controls are smooth and provide for a great experience. This game also has ultrawide support, a big plus in my honest opinion. Making FPS gameplay more immersive in 21x9 aspect ratio is always welcomed. If you are looking for a pick up and play kind of FPS game, I highly recommend this abstract game. I hope this review helps.
