I'm on Observation Duty 3

Would rate it somewhere in the middle Unsure about the new mechanics and feel like it makes the game lose a little of its charm, still a good idea tho Love the sound design and is prob one of the scariest The places feel way harder to familiarize with the new system and the first person view makes me nauseous, especially the fact that I have to run and check every room often The anomalies are more creative and better than the first 2 games tho

Definitely not my favourite format of IOOD games and I'm glad they stuck to the traditional format after this but it was still fun to play and gather achievements. Recommended if nothing but to track the evolution of this awesome game series.

This one takes a different approach from the others. Instead of watching through security cameras, you are wandering around with your cellphone, submitting pictures. In many ways, it is much easier since you don't have to worry about flipping through the various options to figure out which it is. It has the same premise though. Memorize the layout and identify anomalies. It does have VR capabilities but I haven't tried them. Like the first two, its spot the difference with gore, horror, random naked characters, and just general randomness. For a few bucks its a decent way to pass some time, test your memorization skills, and see if you can handle a few jump scares. 7/10

First-person perspective makes this so much creepier than the first two! You go from a more comfortable POV to a "why TF am I inside the house!?" I also found it more difficult to notice anomalies because you gotta actually walk to each place/can pan the camera too much. Recommend!

Not a huge fan of the 3d first person POV for this version of the game. Makes it extremely difficult to find anomalies within the allotted time period when you have to physically walk back and forth through the location taking photos to find anything or check areas where there may or may not even be an anomaly. Very different from the format of both previous and later games and it just doesn't work as well. I wish it did, as I enjoy the others in this series, but unfortunately this one may not be for me.

this one is super different from the first two and im kind of into it. i like that you can walk around in the world instead of flipping through cameras, really cool.

They (he) tried it—3D, navigable environments instead of fixed cameras—it was a misfire and they never went back. To keep up with the anomalies, one has to sprint back and forth across the locations, which messes with the vibe of a horror game. Still enjoyable but less is more in this case.

this was easily the scariest one for me and my favourite, i understand it wasnt to a lot of peoples tastes but i wish they would do something like this again
