Effigy : The Descent

Finished the game in under an hour. For a couple of bucks I was truly terrified. There may be room for more than one playthrough but once was enough for me. I had an issue with clipping into walls when I got too close which made it even more scary. The controls on PC are also not explained and not adjustable. My default movement controls were not WASD which was very frustrating though I was able to figure it out through trial and error. The clunky movement also added to the fear factor. Not sure if it was intended. I feel like I got my moneys worth.

Great experience. Still a little buggy, but for this price it is worth it

Good little experience, the game is short but quite intense

This was incredibly enjoyable. Loved the atmosphere, the sense of dread, an overarching feeling of tension and danger, it nailed a the feeling of being truly alone deep underground in a cave system man was not meant to visit. Wenn es nicht nur eine Fancy Ostereiersuche wäre, könnte ich mir auf dieser Basis ein echt starkes Spiel mit Story vorstellen. Neat little game with a spooky look to it, probably particularly fun for the Doctor Who fans among us. Pretty simple set-up but it's randomised each time.
