The game will present unique ways of trying to mess with you and your progress. Especially early on. But if you stick with this game it gives quite a bit of value for what you're getting. And offers numerous trope inversions of other very familar games. It's a breath of fresh air to be sure. Nothing in this game feels 'stale'. and this is coming from a decidedly cynical individual Alot of the interractions between party members are quite endearing. The only con I can think of is that in some places the encounter rate is painfully high. Though a tip:Don't worry about the rent. With good enough luck stat and a bit of gambling manipulation[that seems fully intentional] you can easily pay that off. I spent my first several hours of play worrying about paying it off.

Great game, shouldn't be free tbh. Hours upon hours of gameplay if you want to do everything; and it's really ducking hard. It's as brutal as real life sometimes and the characters are great.

"I Hate You, Please Suffer - Basic" is a really badly made RPG Maker... thing... which, true to the name, will inflict suffering on anyone who tries to play it, because the quality is just utter crap. No, really, take a look at the screenshots. It's not even complete, despite not being in Early Access, which makes the decision to publish this at all a completely bewildering one. Taking this seriously as a game, it's just really mediocre and badly done. The developer couldn't work out the usual anime club dropout fanfic writing to make this and went off on some weird plot about a woman using money to "fight" things and pay the bills after being fired. Why were they fired? Because their employer discovered that she thought it would be okay to use RPG Maker to make "games" and publish them on Steam as if she was a real game developer. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. At least the developer tried to make some of their own art assets. Unfortunately it looks like they used MS-Paint. I'd rather see the usual RPG Maker pixelcrap assets instead. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
i'm really glad that i decided to try out the game! (✿◡‿◡) the dialogue is very well written and is the thing i love the most of it. it's humorous and tender. it genuinely keeps me wanting to read more. i love the characters the combat has interesting mechanics and a difficulty that requires you to have a good plan. there's thought on how the combat is designed reading the game description i worried that the music being royalty free wouldn't be as nice but it's certainly good. well selected. maybe combat could benefit from having more tones though? (nvm, combat tone can be changed later in the game) overall i honestly recommend giving the game a try! i think its virtues can be seen in the first thirty minutes, except for the combat. that would require more time to see it's depth a true yume nikki fangame jk
Bizarre and charming. I'm looking forward to a final, complete version.
Maceranın yaygın bir kariyer tercihi olduğu bir dünyada, yakın zamanda kovulmuş bir kadın, sıra tabanlı bir RPG deneyiminde kirasını ödemek için büyük bir arayışa çıkıyor.
I enjoyed this and can't wait until the full game releases. Graveyard quest kinda stumped me but now I feel stupid after figuring it out
The dialogue in this game is the most naturalistic I've seen in a game and among the most well-written, too. It captures a viewpoint that isn't much represented within games or much other media unless you're looking at the fringes. There's plenty of silly stuff here but it all feels congruent with the setting and doesn't rely on hollow pop culture references like a like of RPGMaker games do. Combat's really fun to! It starts off hard-as-nails until you get additional party members until it eases a bit but it never really loses the edge. The random encounters can become troublesome when revisiting old areas, though. The scaling is supposed to make sure no encounters are pushovers, but going back to early areas (like the forest) becomes tedious since the enemies there are very frail and there's no way to avoid triggering an encounter that I found. You do have to go back there a lot for a few reasons. The full version is now my most anticipated upcoming game release. I wish I could pay for this version since I got way more from it than most games I've paid way more for!
