Pretty good 3d platformer with a short narrative that doesn't over stay its welcome. I beat it in 2.5 hours only missing 2 collectibles. The controls are simple which caused some frustration when failing a jump but the respawn system is great making failure not feel like a chore. overall 7/10
Short platformer that centers on one mechanic (the pole your character has for jumping/climbing/hanging/hoisting/etc.) and elaborates on it nicely. The story is fine, told in a fairly minimalist way with 0 dialogue, but nothing amazing. There's a tiny bit more to bite into lore-wise ig but don't expect to be finding SCP articles-worth of worldbuilding notes or anything. I got it at 35% off and feel positive about it overall, but I feel like if I got it at full price it would drop a few points in my book considering its length and quality (it's nice, but those 3 hours haven't exactly overwhelmingly wowed me). I reccomend picking it up on sale, and to the developer I reccomend *enabling the correct and not unfair PLN price conversion that Steam now has available as an option* - this game, when converted from $9,99 to my currency accurately, should at full price be about what I paid for it at -35% off.

the game perfectly recreates that authentic video game feel with simple old style textures and fun mechanics, a great non-intrusive soundtrack, and smooth level and story progression. it gives its characters a soul and a nice flavor despite the zero narration and zero corporate bloat. this is exactly what video games should be.
Well crafted exploraton platformer.
Short experience that was well worth my time. Pros: * The sound and graphics combine well to create an interesting atmosphere. * The platforming mechanics were simple but fun to use. I didn't feel at a disadvantage using mouse + keyboard like I normally do with 3D platformers. * Being a short game meant there was no real filler content. * Exploring felt rewarding with the collectables. * The game ran well at max settings on my machine. Cons: * Outside of the atmosphere, there isn't really much of a soundscape. * While the mechanics were simple, the game in general felt like it lacked depth or any real progression. * Might be intentional, but I never really fellt like I knew why I was doing what I was doing in the game.
An exellent hidden gem that's basically made by one person. Strong vibes, a fun style of locomotion and a nice evolution of that over the course of the game. A simple story about escape and liberation. All of this comes together very well. Don't get me wrong: I loved Keeper from Double Fine, but when one person basically makes a similar and probably comparable quality of game, it does make me question how long some studios take making games. Great work, Charlie!
