Greetings Enforcer, and thank you for enlisting in the Hypnospace Patrol Department! As the corporatocracy sleeps, outlaws are out there committing terrible transgressions all across our beloved Hypnospace, and these virtual streets aren't going to police themselves!
Hypnospace Outlaw is a '90s internet simulator in which you scour Hypnospace's wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you'll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.

Crawl through Cyberspace: Scour the darkest corners of the Web for scumbag users who violate Hypnospace law!

Genuinely crushed that Jay Tholen called it quits on Dreamsettler, the sequel that could have found a wider audience for this idea in a newer generation. This game is a surprisingly rich and immersive mixed media experience that, without the support of streaming, has become a bit of a hard sell irl because people under a certain age don't really connect with that 90s Geocities vibe the game presents itself in, and people over said age usually skip on experimental indie games like this (or have even abandoned gaming as a whole). Whether this is an echo of your first steps of the internet of yore, or you're not familiar with what it feels to explore the intertwining streams of consciousness of a bunch of randos from all over the place in a corner of your room late at night, give this game a chance. If you end up like me, years will go by and you'll still be reminiscing about this wonderful little world every now and then.
One of the most immersive games I have ever played, and I'm very confident that it will remain one that will have left a lasting impression on me for years to come. If you grew up during the early era of the internet - you may find yourself transported back in time when you boot this up. This feels like an ARG mixed with a mystery thriller, coated in a rich sprinkling of the nostalgia of browsing random websites after school. This game has layers and layers to it. I am blown away. There was so much to discover (and uncover) here. The less I say the better. Amazing. and Chowderman.

This game is top 3, and one of the first games to genuienly make me start blubbering cause that ENDING was amazing! I wish I could wipe my memory and re-explore these pages over again!

Such a cool concept. After I finished I wanted to play more games that had a similar vibe/aesthetic, but it's so unique. Great graphics, fun missions, interesting character/lore. I love that you can explore places in Hypnospace completely irrelevant to the plot. I've been planning to replay so I can 100% it and explore all of Hypnospace. Super fun highly recommend.
this game confirmed that I really, *really* want more games based on old internet. incredibly charming presentation and hilarious to boot. a lot more depth than one would think on first impression. found a new top favorite!
This game is so fun and delightful and makes me long for more crunchy graphics and auto-playing music on random people's websites. I look forward to playing this again and diving deeper into every nook and cranny.
