Great game!
Pretty fun minimalist dodging game! Gets pretty tricky towards the end and also the extra challenges for the achievements (which were quite a pain)! It does seem to lean pretty heavy on RNG for some of the harder levels but still a recommend for sure! P.S. A tip: if you are having trouble with the ice levels
use the mouse!
;)

Beautiful, amazing UI/UX, great game feel, POLISHED.
HyperDot is The Minimalist Bullet Hell Game I didn't know I needed. Elegant, calming, and flow inducing.
What is Good...
🎮Fun Gameplay ♲Instant level restarts 👓Designed with purpose 🎨Beautiful color pallets 🔨Tight responsive controls 🧠Brilliant concept 🎵Calming sound track 💰Good value
Improvements...
🔧I want more music 🎮Gameplay It starts simple. I am a dot on a field. Shapes move through the field. I touch a shape; the game ends. I press 1 button. Restart in an instant. I test a new approach and succeed. The early levels go fast. Teaching me to play as I play. Shapes have characteristics. Fields have conditions. The controls are precise and responsive. The logic is intuitive. ♲Restart To restart without friction is powerful. There is no cost to trying something new. Creativity without cost. I play in ways I would not dare. Every so many levels a twist surprises me. Instant restarts keep my focus on solving the kinetic puzzle. I want to be this brave at work. I want to be this brave with people. Life is better with instant restarts. 👓Design The friction in HyperDot is purposeful. I am grateful for that. I memorize patterns. Evade shapes with the precision of a speed runner. The next level is random. I adapt to a new style of play. A new way to think. I start with cautious aggression. It's not working. Now I know what to expect. I play with anticipation. Still too aggressive. I'm taking too many risks. I continue to fail. I soften my eyes. I play relaxed. The mouse is loose in my hand. I flow with the level. The dot is a shape among shapes. I find my niche among them. I live there. I pass the level. I learn something about the game. I learn something about myself. I play several levels. Then the controls are not tight; not responsive. The game subverts my expectations. It breaks it's rules with purpose. Now I will learn something new. I want game developers to play this game. To experience purposeful design. 🕙Time I beat the main campaign in a few hours. I beat the challenge levels in two more. I play a half hour a day for twelve days. I hunt down every achievement. 🎨Form HyperDot is minimalist in form. Simple shapes and colors. Easy to read. My focus locked. Me and the game. I do not daydream about its production. The game wears punchy delicious color. A designer wardrobe that enhances without distraction. 🔨Function The function is minimalist. Animation is logical. Controls are tight. (Except when they are not meant to be). I am not thinking. I am playing. This is a sign of great design. 🧠Concept Most important the concept is minimalist. This feels like a bullet hell shooter! I'm not shooting anything. How can this be? What is the main gameplay loop of a bullet hell shooter? Is it shooting? No! It is seeing patterns and avoiding them. The developer knows this. I play the essential bullet hell game. Minimalism means working in tight boundaries. Paring something to its essence. In this case the essence of a great bullet hell shooter does not involve shooting. I wish I had thought of that. 🎵Music The music wraps me up. It sooths my frustration. It prevents it. The track titled "Progressive" reminds me of a hot humid night at the club. The Track "Into the Everglades" leads me back to my breath. All the tracks help me focus. It is good music to study with. It enhances my flow state. 💰Value The campaign is 2 hours. Doing everything takes 10. At the current price a good game is a good deal, but this game is great. So it's a bargain. 🔧Improvement There is 7 tracks in this game. 7 tracks repeat the perfect amount for 2 hours. The presence of music is exponential. 14 tracks will keep me happy for 10 hours. 👶Age The abstract nature of the game makes it appropriate for all ages. 🔐Access Players who have difficulty with quick reaction times and precise movements may have difficulty with the main campaign. 🚀Engine Unity 🥅Score 9/10
