About

About The Game:
Hyper Team Recon is an adorable 3D platformer about three aliens and their adventure across Earth! Three energetic alien slimes, Ember, Penny and Lite, are tasked to travel to Earth in order to learn more about the lifeforms inhabiting the planet, using their species' unique morphing abilities to disguise themselves as girls in order to keep a low profile!
But after their ship crashes after a non-specific captain falls asleep at the wheel - *cough* Ember *cough* - The trio get split up and stranded on Earth, leading them to each traverse through a variety of locations full of platforming, puzzles and combat, meeting a lively cast of friends and foes along the way!
On their journey, each of the girls will make friends with the people and creatures they find on Earth that they can trust! Friends who will be happy to tag along and help the girls re-unite, fix their ship, and complete their mission, as well as let them copy their forms to gain new abilities along the way! These abilities include a glide to cross large gaps, a pointy shell to keep hazards at bay, magic spells from a jellyfish, and more!
However, there will also be some people who won't be as hospitable for their alien guests, ranging from angry snails, evil turtle queens, and even undersea pop-stars! These enemies will stop at nothing to make life harder for the squishy slimes, but that won't stop them from simply morphing into their enemies and using their own moves against them in combat!
Tracking the slime's progress every step of the way is H.E.R.B, a helpful slime A.I who keeps up-to-date with what's happening on Earth, while using the foil collected to fill out his scrapbook, a special book to fill with foil to unlock goodies, like new outfits, bite-size challenge zones, extra cutscenes, and more!
The adventure doesn't stop there! Complete all 3 challenging sub-goals in a level to collect medals and unlock even more costumes, and unlock a secret ending that may or may not be there once you collect every single medal! (Or you might just get a slightly different jpeg at the end of the credits, we'll see)

Completed it, it controls well, the music is nice, i love the artstyle because it's very PaperMario-like, good animations. I think it was great and I had a fun time with it! I enjoyed the dialogue as well.
A fun cross between Super Paper Mario and Neptunia. Peak game 11/10
the 100% positive reviews are deserved i love the artstyle and gameplay and everything else
Hyper Recon Team is a very enjoyable casual platformer with some fun writing, was a blast to stream to friends. I also like the funny little slimes. I will pick up and bounce Ember like a basketball.
I came across Hyper Team Recon one day while browsing my internet feed. Right away I knew the similarity between the Neptunia Live2D designs and a Paper Mario environment. (^_^) So of course I have to play to see what its all about and from the start to finish I loved every second of the adventure. ( ≧◡≦ ) The adventure with three slime girls Ember, Penny, and Lite was a joy from beginning to end. Separated from the ship crash. Always moving from one Protagonist to another meeting all sorts of side characters in this vast world whilst trying repair the ship and trying to reunite with one another. - The cutscenes have their own unique charm which makes them stand out. Even laughed a few times. - The gameplay is quite simple for a 3d platformer in a paper world which I like. - The paper level design comes with its own charm whether from exploration, npcs, or the next scene in the level for what happens next. Every level was a joy to the end. - Copying the abilities of others was very nice to use cause there was always something to use those abilities for in the levels weather if its a collectible or the foil scrap. - The bosses nail it just right for the challenge while not being too difficult to defeat. - The extras in form of Customization for the Slimes are adorable. Cutscenes to add to the silly little world, Herbs copy ability challenges which remind me of the copy ability challenges from Kirby games. Hyper Team Recon was a joy for the whole adventure. Short but very sweet. (^_^) We'll just have to see what silly adventure awaits for Ember, Penny, and Lite next time. ( ≧◡≦ )
An adorable 3D platformer with 2D sprites where you play as likable slime girls who transform into other creatures as a way to access special areas. The writing is a bit too cliché sometimes but overall is pretty fun. It gives a Hyper dimension Neptunia vibes. I can see why the game reccomended a controler because platforming with a keyboard was a little subpar. A cute game like this is worthy of my fan art!
very cute Super Paper Mario-like with Tsunako styled characters for the L2D sections. it also has a bit of that sweet Neptunia self-awareness, which I love. wish this game had more CGs in the cutscenes though... game could have also benefited from more achievements, as they are mostly just playing through the game. it's an easy casual game though, so probably won't matter to most. Lite and DJ Pincer are my sexy girlfriends (⌐⎚u⎚)
Despite not a lot of levels, the story of the game is sweet and enjoyed the mechanics (even if I get frustrated with the level designs trying to 100% the game). The designs and world building is phenominal.
If you're looking for a challenge that will put hair on your chest, or a story that takes itself seriously, you'll probably find it somewhere else. The game is silly, it's content to be that way, and defeat only means losing a small amount of money. Any real challenge comes from finding the 5 hidden collectables, and not dying once in a level. It's got nicely lengthed levels; enough incentive to take on the optional challenges, adorable designs and sounds, and hints that manage to be present without too patronizing. It's overall a perfect game to pick up for your child, or your working adult who wants something to play after (or before) work.
It's a really cute game with a wonderful artstyle and some really lovable characters. If the game looks like something that might be up your alley, I promise you it's totally worth it!
