You are Avery Grey, the newest employee at a popular cat cafe called A Cat's Paw. The coffee's good and the staff is friendly (and kinda cute!) but mysterious. One day, you find a strange book in the basement, with letters you can't quite read...

I went in expecting just a casual dating sim and got so much more. This was such a delight.
Es una novela visual bastante adorable.
This game is really entertaining! Good writing, good art, good music, unique and cutesy. Glad I found this and bought it during the visual novel sale a few weeks ago!
This is one of my favourite games to play. However, don't get it for the full price. Get it once it's on a big sale or something. Because while this is a great game, with lots of character and personality, it is not good enough to warrant that much money lmao. Despite this, it's really comforting. It has cats, coffee, cat cafes, magic and witches. As well as a varied cast to romance, all who are so lovable in their own way that I cannot help but giggle whenever I replay their routes. They're all so stinking cute. Not to mention the camaraderie really feels somewhat natural, because of the wittiness of the dialogue. It flows so well. The only complaint is that it is a little short for my likings. The story feels unfinished somehow, even though it isn't really. I want to spend more time in this world, I want to get answers to questions that don't get answered fully, and I wish that I could find out what the devs planned for the route they never got to write, from their kickstarter goals. I'm so curious I could tear myself apart. But yeah, instead of doing so, I will swaddle myself in the comfort this game gives me, despite its flaws. Somehow it doesn't surprise me that one of my favourite visual novels is about a magical cat cafe. It's quite literally all of the things I dream about. So yeah! Definitely check it out for sure. ONLY WHEN IT'S ON SALE.
9/10
I absolutely loved every second of this! 4/12 achievements so I've still got some replay to do. It's so, so good. Totally good for that though. The story was super compelling and immersive!
Hustle Cat is a story about a cat café that is shrouded in mystery, or that's what the summary will tell you. I thought the game would be a light-hearted, fun time. Unfortunately, its poor storytelling and writing left much to be desired. Art I have nothing bad to say about the art. The few backgrounds that I saw looked nice, and the characters were lovely. Character(s) I'll start this by saying that Avery is a horrible protagonist. Usually when a main character has flaws that make them unlikeable, they at least have some redeeming quality about them that I like. This did not happen. From the little I spent on this (both time and money), I got to know that they are awkward, judgemental, stupid, and refuses to take accountability, which also makes them very immature. Avery has no qualities that make them worthwhile. And I have ended up loving characters who people love to hate. Music The tunes are nice to listen to, but nothing to write home about. Story This is the meat of any Visual Novel. Or it should be. I'm not sure if it's even present here, the plate seems rather empty to me. I feel like the story in this is on par with someone's first draft. You know, where you haven't thought everything through, things jump out at you suddenly, and there is little to no room to breathe. Now, I didn't get to the actual story of this game. Mainly because I wasn't interested in it. I made choices that left me with an “ending” of Avery having an outburst and running away, which sent me back to the main menu. They could have done so much with that, but they decided to do nothing. And that told me everything I needed to know. Text The literature in this is written in a pretentious manner. I should know, I write similarly! Most who read this review will have already noticed this. As such, I think when you have a protagonist who isn't a blank slate, the writing should match that character. It didn't in this case. Despite my dislike for Avery, they did not sound even remotely close to how this was written. And because of that, it clashed horribly. You may think using words like “ostentatiously”, “positively” before an adjective, and “conspiratorially” makes your writing seem refined. Not if it doesn't match the character! Then it makes your writing appear ridiculous, especially since this is written in first person. I would be more forgiving if the text was in third person. But it isn't, so here we are! This would have worked way better if Graves was the main character. He already used words that matched this style of writing. In your efforts to show off, you've lost sight of what truly mattered: Consistency. TL;DR Hustle Cat is not as cute or cuddly as one may be led to believe.
mc cant do nothing !!!! but cat
i didnt expect that Nagito Komaeda and Gundam Tanaka would appear in the credits tbh
It's not a very long visual novel but the story is really good. I love that you can customise your look a bit and even choose your gender. The different paths that can be taken have great story and tension. The art style is really cute. I recommend this game fore sure.
