About
Full moon. Cold night. Dark shadow. Warm gun. The Beast of Glenkildove has stalked Ireland for centuries. Now, you must hunt it.
Hunter: The Reckoning — The Beast of Glenkildove is an interactive novel by William Brown, set in the World of Darkness. It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
Eight years ago, when you were eighteen, the Beast of Glenkildove killed one of your closest friends. You've never returned to Ireland since that day.
It's difficult to remember what happened. As you'll soon learn, the human mind blots out the traumatic memories of facing a werewolf.
Now, you must stalk that werewolf across the shadowed glens and fogbound mountains of Ireland, hunting a shapeshifting killing machine with your friends, your wits, and a shotgun.
But you and your friends are not alone. You have entered a world of Hunters, humans who dare to challenge the dominion of the monsters who rule over them. Can you trust the fanatics of the Society of Leopold, the scholars and savants of the Arcanum, the ruthless Duffy crime family, or the enigmatic biotech company Fada?
Can you even trust your oldest friends?
Redemption for some. Retribution for others. A reckoning for all.

p. damn good.
Easily the best one of these since Night Roads. Very deep, complex and reactive. I do wish it had the storyteller mode so i knew what stats were being checked but oh well. My first playthrough i died trying to jump out a window and breaking my neck. 10/10

It was the best experience since Night Road. I think the plot aligns perfectly with the grand lore of World of Darkness. There are small hints about what's happening around the world as well and it gives the feeling that the author knows what they are doing. Highly recommended.
Т_Т / A stunning but challenging piece of art. I had to do three playthroughs just to keep my favorite, Cormac, alive. But I can't forgive you for the lack of a 'happily ever after' ending! Т_Т
Superb writing, immersive world, loveable RO and exciting characters. The tension is maintained throughout. 10/10 This is exactly what IF is supposed to be. The only flaw I would mention is the insanely tough consequences of the choices. It's just so unforgivable and punishes (or rewards, for that matter) you for even the smallest decisions.
I absolutely love the game. There is a genuine emotional connection between the "target" and the hunter. And... Áine, my girl, because of you, I failed to romance a guy again.
Beast of Glenkildove is really interesting to me. This is the first Hunter the Reckoning game to come out in 22 years and honestly? It doesn't disappoint. Sure it's not an action-packed adventure with any visuals to look at but what it accomplishes (and very well I might add) is telling its story and really immersing you in its setting. The game plays like an interactive CYOA novel with elements in line with the original TTRPG, giving you an array of options even in a more linear(ish) narrative. You truly decide the kind of Hunter that you want to be and how you deal with the things you've seen, your life forever changed by what happened that day at Glenkildove. This feels more like an RPG than a lot of the more recent WoD games that market themselves as RPGs in the sense that builds, skill checks and decisions all have immense weight to them. I'm probably gonna play this game at least 3 more times just because I'm not fully ready for it to be over.
Became a killing-ass nun In my opinion a decent story and a good introductory into the world of darkness. Though a lot of stats to consider, which adds variation but it's not very rewarding, so the game is geared towards having focused builds.
