About

Hunt the Night is a retro-style action-RPG that blends fast, skillful combat with dark fantasy lore. Play as Vesper, a member of the Stalkers, and traverse the ruined world of Medhram on a mission to save humanity from a deadly cycle of annihilation. Endure nightmarish overworlds, slash through horrific dungeons, face brutal bosses, and wield an arsenal of powers in a relentless struggle against the Night itself.
In the 9th Age, humanity is trapped in a vicious cycle on the verge of extinction. The day is ruled by humans, while the Night brings annihilation by horrid creatures. A group of humans called ‘The Stalkers’ once wielded power to hold back the horrors, but their sacrifice only delayed the inevitable.
Now, as the Night starts devouring every single glint of light, Vesper, a Stalker by right and daughter of a traitor, will travel a dying land trying to save the last embers of humanity. She hunts in a race against destiny, as the shadows lengthen both in the world and in her mind.

Dash through enemies while you unleash your combos, use your weapons or destroy them with your dark powers. You can switch between melee and ranged attack in quick succession: slashing enemies with your sword and then dashing away to use your ranged weapons, avoiding enemy attacks.

Endure the ultimate challenge as you fight the ancient horrors of the Night that have been annihilating humanity over and over in intense boss battles. Learn their weak points, attack patterns and survive through the different combat phases as the battle gets more challenging and extreme.

Create your own build that will adapt not only to your prefered gameplay but also to particular bosses. Customize the upgrades of your arsenal and use the equipment that best suits your gameplay: Critical Damage, Life Steal, Poison, Close Combat, Firepower and more. Collect Sanguine vials, Crow Feathers, Moonstones and Noctilium to increase your stats and get ready to face the Night.

Explore Medhram in a combination of action-adventure and dark fantasy lore. Survive huge dungeons full of traps, enemies, puzzles and challenges. Discover all kinds of locations, from ancient cathedrals and libraries of knowledge to lost kingdoms and devastated floating cities.

Accept a hunt at ‘Crow’s Nest’ and track down the dark beast, find where it hides and hunt the most powerful creatures of the Night. After every completed hunt you will get rewards that will increase your health and dark energy bar.

Meet new characters and discover their tragic past and stories in a world that is on the brink of the abyss.

Immersive and adapted music to every moment, boss and location, with the collaboration of Hiroki Kikuta, Secret of Mana composer.

Nice SNES style Bloodborne. Good combat, skills, and exploration. Its like Monster Hunter, and BB had a baby. Worth the money for sure.
No "game loops" or other modern BS. It's just as SNES as it gets. Designed to tell a story and drag you into the adventure for a moment. The old times imperfections makes it perfect, because it does not waste the time, efforts and design.
Öncelikle oyun güzel, zevk aldım ve eğlendim ama hikaye çok iyi değil. Ama güzeldi, denemeye değer.
i like this game but unfortunately had to drop it. The world is designed in such a way that you typically have to backtrack too much, while going through multiple combat scenarios, to get to where you died. The combat isn't even particularly hard, but the game has the tendency to spring combat rooms on you with no warning, with no regard for your healing supplies or the nearest checkpoint.
Underrated gem alert. While not perfect by any means,Hunt the night oozes personality by meshing the gameplay of classic Zelda and the presentation of Bloodborne.

[*] Есть неочевидные невозвратные места ( актуально при желании получить подсолнух ) [/list]
Hunt the Night is a short, low budget, metroidvania. It does look good, color and lighting wise, but its art direction is also what makes the game sometimes hard to play. Elevation, paths, even our own "magic gauge" are hard to tell precisely because of the prevalent darkness and purple color. Against one of the last bosses, i had to watch a guide to understand how to survive a massive death cloud, because i couldn't see some safe areas. Our possible playstyles revolve around a selection of 6 different weapons type (among half of them play the same) with two different status effects : poison or life leech. There are some magics, but as long as you have the life steal spell, every combat becomes a formality. Add three different ranged weapons to answer to any situation and there isn't any real challenge to find in this game. (shotgun !) The bestiary is thin as a paper, but there are some cool bosses, especially in the second half. Combat and exploration are barely rewarding. Fortunately, you quickly gain all the money to buy everything. There are lots of bugs. Being stuck on environment while fighting and dodging, the equipment menu being locked out of controller because the mouse cursor is around and has priority. The entire screen shaking like crazy because you exited the previous room while taking a hit, and many more. It didn't make the game unbeatable, it was just irritating, and pushing through the whimsical last dungeon had become a chore It is a very low thumbs up, i hope you'll have better luck than me
