For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Hunt the Night is a retro-style action-RPG that blends fast, skillful combat with dark fantasy lore. Play as Vesper, a member of the Stalkers, and traverse the ruined world of Medhram on a mission to save humanity from a deadly cycle of annihilation. Endure nightmarish overworlds, slash through horrific dungeons, face brutal bosses, and wield an arsenal of powers in a relentless struggle against the Night itself.
In the 9th Age, humanity is trapped in a vicious cycle on the verge of extinction. The day is ruled by humans, while the Night brings annihilation by horrid creatures. A group of humans called ‘The Stalkers’ once wielded power to hold back the horrors, but their sacrifice only delayed the inevitable.
Now, as the Night starts devouring every single glint of light, Vesper, a Stalker by right and daughter of a traitor, will travel a dying land trying to save the last embers of humanity. She hunts in a race against destiny, as the shadows lengthen both in the world and in her mind.

Dash through enemies while you unleash your combos, use your weapons or destroy them with your dark powers. You can switch between melee and ranged attack in quick succession: slashing enemies with your sword and then dashing away to use your ranged weapons, avoiding enemy attacks.

Endure the ultimate challenge as you fight the ancient horrors of the Night that have been annihilating humanity over and over in intense boss battles. Learn their weak points, attack patterns and survive through the different combat phases as the battle gets more challenging and extreme.

Create your own build that will adapt not only to your prefered gameplay but also to particular bosses. Customize the upgrades of your arsenal and use the equipment that best suits your gameplay: Critical Damage, Life Steal, Poison, Close Combat, Firepower and more. Collect Sanguine vials, Crow Feathers, Moonstones and Noctilium to increase your stats and get ready to face the Night.

Explore Medhram in a combination of action-adventure and dark fantasy lore. Survive huge dungeons full of traps, enemies, puzzles and challenges. Discover all kinds of locations, from ancient cathedrals and libraries of knowledge to lost kingdoms and devastated floating cities.

Accept a hunt at ‘Crow’s Nest’ and track down the dark beast, find where it hides and hunt the most powerful creatures of the Night. After every completed hunt you will get rewards that will increase your health and dark energy bar.

Meet new characters and discover their tragic past and stories in a world that is on the brink of the abyss.

Immersive and adapted music to every moment, boss and location, with the collaboration of Hiroki Kikuta, Secret of Mana composer.

OK-ish game with potential that was never realized. Gameplay itself it fine, but repetitive. The devs failed with itemization. Very few items, and even those are not very exciting. Spells are complete fail. Long CDs, and overall they are nothing to look forward. There are also not that many enemy types, for most of the game you are killing the same things over and over again. A bit repetitive. Story is a mess, and I do not even understand the connection with the last boss. Was I not paying attention to the story enough. Really weird. They have failed in storytelling really hard. Most of the time you are solving puzzles in the form of which lever to press first, finding keys and such. Pretty simplistic. The difficulty is low to medium, with a bit of effort you can easily beat most of the bosses in a few tries. The game could have been much better with more sensible gamedev decisions. There were some super minor bugs, but nothing gamebreaking. 6,5/10.
Really solid mesh of legacy Zelda and Bloodborne. Has a few moments where it's rough around the edges, shown through visual bugs or compatibility with OBS (event though the latter is not that big of a deal for like 90% of people who will play this). There are some puzzles that were a little too cryptic and required looking up (looking at you, sword puzzle in Bloodisfell). The enemy types could benefit from a little more variety too. The boss fights are awesome and left me wanting more of its cool miyazaki-esque atmosphere. Decent little 10 hour game that will appear to fans of both FROMsoft and Link To The Past. Keep cookin, devs. 7.5/10

Hunt the Night is a Pixel Art Action RPG where you play as Vesper, a lone stalker on a mission to take down the corruption in the world led by forces of evil. The game offers a big interconnected world filled with puzzles that will test your brain, rooms full of challenges and enemies that will try to swarm you and allies / NPCs will aid you on your journey. The game plays very well and solid controls, the only thing I noticed was slight hitboxes that were bigger than their intended range, but other than that no issues at all and no bugs were faced during my playthrough. OST and music for each zone was very nice and matches the vibe of that particular zone, from forests, to ruins to mountains and big halls for you to explore. The boss fights were definitely brutal and some of them brought real challenge and adrenaline pump, a single mistake can be very costly during a fast paced battle, where you have to stay focused 100% at all times which is something I really loved!! It's a very recommended Pixelated Action RPG for the fans of the genre and is a really must play especially if you're into dark theme ones. Overall Rating 10/10
Not bad. Not great. Go for the sale.
A pretty fun action adventure game Its a mix on zelda in terms of gameplay and bloodborne in terms of aesthetic and weapon variety Liked the sense of progression the game gives when you go to a new area and upgrade There a decent amount of side stuff adn hidden items to find Like the gameplay overall but there some jank I got stuck in the map 2 times but that it no crashes on technical side The story is decent but nothing very special Its a decent game ig you get on sale
Indicators : Lacks indicators/tell of things like a boss attacks and doors. The first boss you fight looks exactly the same the entire fight no stance change, no charge up, no wind up, no "tell" he is about to bite. For one of his 2 moves his eye turns red, but it turns the instant he lunges when it should be just BEFORE the lunge. There is also no indicator of what is a doorway. The wall tiles just keep going all the way around rooms and a doorway could just be a section of wall that looks like the rest of the walls. There should be a separation in the wall tile, or a faint glow coming from the next zone. Mouse/crosshair bug: First off, why is there a cross hair in the center of the screen at all? This is not an FPS. The ranged weapons have a laser sight so the always on cross hair serves no purpose. Second, this causes the game to get stuck in "mouse mode" when you open the menus. When playing with a controller, as you should with a game like this, if you open the menus to browse items, upgrades, inventory, etc you can't move until you wiggle the mouse loose because of the constant unnecessary cross hair is stuck on what ever option is in the middle of your screen. Having to get up and wiggle the cross hair loose every time I want to browse inventory is obnoxious, and this issue is the main reason for not recommending the game. If this is fixed then the game would "okay". Can't exit : I assume this probably related to the cross hair, but I also can't exit the game when I am ready. Clicking exit with mouse or controller just closes the menu and returns to gameplay. I have to open and close back and forth with mouse and controller, then it finally lets me toggle up and down the main menu and select exit.
Hunt the Night — a hidden gem that sometimes fights the player as much as the monsters Hunt the Night feels like a game from another era — and that’s both its greatest strength and its biggest weakness. The atmosphere is excellent. The dark-fantasy world has identity, the pixel art is beautiful, and the combat treats enemies as real threats instead of disposable mobs. When the game clicks, it delivers that rare feeling modern games often miss: exploration with tension and discovery that actually matters. But this is not a smooth modern experience. What works really well Strong atmosphere and art direction — the world feels handcrafted rather than algorithm-designed. Combat with weight — enemies hit hard but are readable. Learning patterns and spacing is key. Old-school exploration — the game trusts players to remember locations and connect clues themselves. When you adapt to its rhythm, it becomes very satisfying. What might frustrate some players Navigation and progression can be cryptic. You will occasionally feel lost or unsure where to go next. Sometimes an item found in one area unlocks something somewhere else entirely, and the game doesn’t always communicate that clearly. Difficulty spikes exist. Certain enemies can deal massive damage quickly. It’s rarely unfair, but it demands patience and focus. Uneven pacing. You can feel the ambition of a small team pushing big ideas, which results in moments of brilliance mixed with rough edges. About the development history The game launched on PC in 2023 and later received significant updates alongside a delayed console release. There has also been discussion online about delayed Kickstarter rewards and slower communication periods. It doesn’t affect gameplay directly, but it explains why the project has a slightly “unusual indie history.” Final verdict Hunt the Night is a hidden gem with flaws. It has personality, atmosphere, and genuine passion behind it — things that are increasingly rare. At the same time, it asks for patience and tolerance for old-school design decisions that won’t work for everyone. If you enjoy dark fantasy, exploration-driven games, and learning through experience rather than quest markers, this is worth playing. If you want constant guidance, perfectly smooth balance, or modern convenience design, you may struggle with it. Recommended — just know what kind of journey you’re signing up for.
A really great game for the halloween season, it's not particularly spooky but it just has the perfect vibe. The pixel art is beautiful, the gameplay is incredibly fluid, the music is really pleasant. I loved this game. Felt the story was kinda whatever but this is definitely the sort of game you play purely for the gameplay in my opinion. As someone who doesn't really play a lot of faster paced combat in games, I felt the dodge and attack mechanics were insanely fluid and easy to pick up. Hugely recommend this game if anyone is curious about it!
Not perfect, but enjoyable enough. Great visuals, great art, good sound design, enough enemy variety, ambition in the boss fights (though several of them suffer from heavy design issues), decent lore, good combat, semi-decent build options (you have several spells and runes and weapons at your disposal, but you can only equip one of each. this severely limits any "build" you'd like to play. the lack of map could be an issue for some players. the world is not huge, its actually rather small, but leave that game alone for a few weeks, come back to it, and good luck to remember where you've been and where you must go.
