Graphics don't exactly look 2025, dialogues might be a bit cheesy, story is bonkers, yet somehow it kind of works out. Environments are nicely decorated and care was put into creating the game. A couple of notes: - When launching the game and having my PS4 controller plugged in, the camera constantly points upwards and rotates. This cannot be stopped. - Considering the environments are big, I'd increase the main character's stamina or even remove it completely, as to speed up traversing through the maps.
From what I understand the Dev is a solo developer and there is a lot of content here. For the most part I enjoyed the game but it does have some wacky bugs, also the pathfinding is very basic and the dialog feels over cheesy at times but I don’t dislike this game. In fact I finished this game and if there was a second game I think I'd buy it. If you are looking for a polished AAA product this is not it, but even so It is worth giving it a try.
For me, this game is a work of art, and I consider it a unique effort that I enjoyed highly as a game and as a experience. Yes, it is janky and quirky, sometimes you have to work to solve some unexpected oddity. But the creativity, emotion, humor, and amount of detail put in the story is truly amazing. And all within the constraints of a solo dev resources, it is a wonder. If you find a bug (Asylum, FIRST talk to Jim in the basement, only then grab key in storage room farther on) just load a .reg file made previously as shown below. Grateful to you, Andy Natusch, for so much heart poured into this. ( Lovely Jessie voice, too, memorable character, and all the rest, Jim, Dolly, Zip, Bargo, Snart, and those funny aliens ). A haunting story, in the best sense. ------ - Define you key layout in the Input Tab of the launcher. - Escape in dialogues: shows your possible answers. - Tab : skills. - Backup your saves once in a while ! Windows Start with right mouse, execute/run, regedit (careful here), find/unfold: Equipment/PC \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Crafty Game Lab Select "Crafty Game Lab", Export, Save with any name you want, you can number your saves, put a description, etc. This will create a "name file desired".reg To overwrite a game save, just double click in the .reg file, confirm. Load in the game: it's the game at any moment you saved and exported the .reg. ------------ Disclosure and spoilers: I'm 69 y.o. and rather slow, so I make my Cheat Engine tables for all my games that otherwise I couldn't finish. For those like me so they too can enjoy and finish this marvelous game : All ammo (both chamber and magazine) are 4 Bytes Exact, replace with 9,999 or whatever you want. Experience from kills to buy skills, also 4 Bytes. Health remaining and Stamina remaining: Float, shown rounded on screen, so you may have to search values "Between" a round number both slightly lower and slightly higher. Once found the 2 remaining values, the 2 maximum values are just 4 bytes below, and you can replace them with any value, a crazy 999,000.0 if you want =)
WOW, Fantastic game and a good price, Excellent.
So, I got this recommended to me because steam thought I played/wishlisted similar games... Now in most cases, this would be the point in the review where I go on about why it wasn't and blah blah blah, however, 'Humanity' is actually pretty fun, and the developer actually checks the discussions, which is rare, I recommend trying it out if you like skirmishes with aliens
Enjoyed the game, graphics are fantastic, but had problems thru-out. For no reason it would start to rotate the player non stop. Had to exit game and restart. When I got to the point to gather the Polonium Fuel It wouldn't open the last gate to gather the fuel container. After further play time I found my error. Also it would be nice if you added a list of game save points so you can return to a previous point in the game.
very impressive; it is a bit rough in terms of figuring out what you're supposed to do if you don't pay close attention; but breathtaking in world design and sheer creativity of the author.
for the price really good game...
got whacked in the trailer park in the opening section by a seemingly invincible guy with a pan as his head wielding a club after emptying almost all of my pistol ammo into him. he was also clipping through walls. i think it may be a bug or it may be intentional but regardless its not much fun this way. i dont understand why people are giving this great reviews. sure the general gameplay of sneaking around can sort of work but it still feels like a half done 'my first game' project. its not even early access anymore so there arent any alleviating factors. everything feels sub par. i dont think anyone should spend a buck on it.
