HueBots is a deceptively challenging top-down puzzle game. You control a team of colorful robots that will only interact with objects that match their color; they will also keep moving in one direction until they collide with something that matches their color.

_____________8__88_____8 ____________88_8__8_____8 ___________888_____88___88888 __________8888______88_8____88 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______88______8_8 _________8888_______8_______8 _________8888_____8_______8 __________88888____8______8 ___________8888888______8 __888_________88888_8 8888888________88_____ _8888888_______8_____ __888888_______88_____ ___88_____8_____8_____ ____8______8____8_____8_88 _______8888_8__88_8_88888 _____888888_8_88__8888888 ____8888888__88______88888 ____88888_____8_________888 ____88_________8__________8 _____8_________8_____ _______________8_____ ____________8_8_____ _____________88_8_____ ______________88_____ ______________8_____
HueBots aldatıcı derecede zorlu, yukarıdan aşağıya bir bulmaca oyunudur. Yalnızca kendi renkleriyle eşleşen nesnelerle etkileşime girecek renkli robotlardan oluşan bir ekibi kontrol ediyorsunuz; ayrıca kendi renkleriyle eşleşen bir şeyle çarpışana kadar aynı yönde hareket etmeye devam edecekler.
This vibrant game is a chromatic delight, with 70 challenging levels and 30 bonus stages that will put your puzzle-solving skills to the test, dazzling you with explosions of color and mind-bogglingly engaging gameplay. The core concept revolves around controlling a team of quirky robots, each with their unique characteristics. Here, strategy reigns supreme as you strategically place blocks to guide these mechanical marvels through intricate mazes. It's like solving a Rubik's Cube, but with a splash of Picasso's palette, creating a visual and mental treat for players. Sure, there's no epic saga to unravel here, but who needs stories when you're diving headfirst into a puzzle-packed wonderland? Some puzzles will have you breezing through like a Sunday stroll, while others will make your brain do somersaults. It's a puzzle buffet, my friend! Briefly, this game is bot-tastic fun that will undoubtedly make your brain buzz with excitement. It strikes the perfect balance between challenge and enjoyment, much like a well-crafted work of art. So, if you're ready for a chromatic masterpiece that will have you hooked from the very first level, look no further.
"HueBots" is another example of Itchio failing the one job it has to contain this kind of amateur shovelware, although at least this is just amateur shovelware and not some kind of scam (so many of those in the free section of Steam). So this is a genuinely, if badly made puzzle game from a decade ago. It's a top down grid puzzle game with a colour matching gimmick. What do you do in the game? You manipulate the robots and blocks to solve increasingly tedious puzzles. The gameplay is repetitive, using only color matching to achieve objectives. There's also a level editor, which nobody used ever. There are a lot of levels, but a lot of a bad thing doesn't make it better, it makes it worse. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. This game is ancient, it's over 10 years old... it's heavily dated and isn't going to give you a remotely contemporary gaming experience... another reason for gamers to be hesitant about adding this to their libraries. It looked bad in 2015, it looks worse now. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Talk about delusions of grandeur. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
great puzzle
Um bom passa tempo.
This game has the perfect amount of puzzles. After I beat the final level, it felt like I had experienced a good amount of each mechanic. The main game offers a decent challenge, and the achievements add another layer to it (completing all of the level challenges definitely took most of my time.) This is a solid puzzle game to pick up especially considering that it's free. Also, if you're playing on Linux, you'll have to change a game property before playing. If you don't, you won't be able to save settings or progress within the game. Right-click on the game in Steam -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool. Choose whichever version of Proton you prefer (I used GE-Proton9-11, but I'm sure many others work as well.) The game should save properly after this.
Originally a $4.99 game that went Free back in 2018. A nice puzzle game, but it does outstay it's welcome. Probably won't finish it but still enjoyable for a short while. -Free Game Amasser
