Achievement spam games like these shouldn't exist in the Steam store. The game itself isn't even fun, and feels like a cheaply made platformer game with no instructions, no story, and no direction nor goal - other than to open it and run it for the achievements. Audio is almost non-existent, there is no options to adjust settings. ON top of that, the graphics are cheap and minimal yet I am still getting low FPS with a slight delay in the character's movements. Skip this game, completely. HUBE is not the content you are want, nor did I want it but (unfortunately) it came with a free bundle.

HUBE: Seeker of Achievements is a game that immediately signals its purpose through its title alone. Developed and published by AFBIK Studio, it is a minimalist 2D platformer built around one defining feature: an enormous number of Steam achievements. Instead of presenting itself as an ambitious narrative adventure or mechanically deep platforming challenge, it offers a compact framework whose primary appeal lies in rewarding the player with thousands of achievement notifications. That unconventional design philosophy makes the game instantly recognizable, and it has naturally attracted a niche audience—those who enjoy boosting their Steam profiles and completing expansive achievement lists just as much, if not more, than playing traditional games. The gameplay itself is simple and approachable. You control a small character navigating short levels filled with platforms, spikes, gaps, and straightforward obstacles. There are no power-ups, advanced moves, combat mechanics, or evolving systems—just running and jumping from point A to point B. For the most part, levels are linear and brief, with few surprises or deviations from basic platforming conventions. Precision is not heavily demanded, and difficulty remains mild throughout, meaning most players will progress steadily without much frustration. This accessibility appears intentional, as completing levels efficiently is the fastest way to unlock the massive achievement catalogue that defines the game’s identity. Visually and structurally, HUBE: Seeker of Achievements adopts a minimalistic presentation. The graphics are functional rather than stylish, environments are sparse, and assets are repeated across stages. Sound design follows a similar philosophy, offering basic feedback without drawing attention to itself. The experience lacks strong thematic cohesion or atmospheric intent; it is a utility platformer—lightweight, undistracting, and designed for short bursts of play. This simplicity may disappoint players seeking detail, personality, or world-building, but for others, it keeps the focus on completing levels and racking up achievements quickly and efficiently. Where the game becomes most unusual—and controversial—is in its achievement system. With thousands upon thousands of achievements built in, the game constantly rewards progression, and sometimes rewards actions that barely qualify as accomplishments at all. For achievement hunters, this structure can be incredibly satisfying, creating a steady stream of dopamine as completion notifications stack endlessly. For players uninterested in such meta gaming, however, the system may feel excessive, artificial, or even cynical, raising questions about whether achievements serve gameplay or gameplay serves achievements. This imbalance defines the experience and determines whether someone finds the game amusing, pointless, or strangely addictive. Because of this unconventional emphasis, HUBE: Seeker of Achievements generates polarized reactions. Some players embrace it as a novel, inexpensive achievement farm that offers exactly what they want—an easy route to boosting their Steam statistics. Others view it as a shallow, underdeveloped platformer that prioritizes numerical gratification over meaningful design. The truth lies somewhere in between. The game does not mislead or disguise its intentions; it openly markets itself to a very specific demographic. That honesty makes it easier to evaluate fairly, even if its creative ambition is modest. As a traditional video game, HUBE feels limited. Its levels are short, its mechanics lack evolution, and replay value is tied entirely to achievement completion rather than gameplay depth or variety. But as an achievement-focused novelty, it fulfills its mission efficiently. The low price point, simple controls, modest time investment, and unusually large achievement count ensure that players seeking this kind of experience will get exactly what they expect—no more, no less. Ultimately, HUBE: Seeker of Achievements is not meant to compete with polished indie platformers or narrative-driven adventures. It exists for players who enjoy completing digital checklists, filling progress bars, and expanding their Steam profile statistics. If that sounds appealing, the game offers a straightforward, low-stress path to satisfaction. If not, it may feel like an empty curiosity rather than a meaningful platforming experience. In either case, its identity is clear, its audience well-defined, and its design unapologetically single-minded. Rating: 7/10
