I get it now, how Tabby is feeling after doing the same thing over and over again.
Wow, je vais pas me faire des potes en disant ça, mais je crois que je tiens là mon goty de cet année.
Really cool to see this game come back and I'm interested to see it return in the future for a finale. However there's a section of the game that frankly doesn't need to be there. It's so disconnected from the main theme of the game that it really takes you out of the experience and tests my patience slogging through it.

Great sequel! The new artstyle fits the game really well and there's so much content, from endings to death scenes to the BarkStation. It was great getting to know the new characters too, they nailed them. The soundtrack really brings back the feel of the first game too. 🏚️
Excellent game. A little harder/unclear what to do vs the first game, but still a great time. Highly recommended. Go buy the Youtooz plushies now, so they will make more merch in the future
This poor girl needs a break- After finishing up the game and sorting through all the endings, I can definitely say House 2 more than lives up to the first game. Beyond just the brilliant step up in the games visuals which look absolutely fantastic, the game brings up a new array of puzzles and scenarios to go through. Admittedly, even with the first games difficulty, this one I would say is even harder, particularly with certain boss fights in the game. But even so, I still enjoyed my time with it even if it frustrated me to no end. It also holds an even bigger array of endings, and I quite like a lot of the more metanarrative aspects they've gone for with the game. And with how the final ending left things off, I'm very curious to see any future works by the developers.
it is an okay stand alone game, however as a sequal to house 2, i can't reccomend it for 2 reasons: 1. the story has moved in a wildly different direction compared to the original game. The "conclusion" was very unsatisfaying to me and completely killed it for me. The mystery, haunted feeling and somewhat magic died at the end. It kind of felt cliche and that's really a shame. 2. It is far more combat focused and it is (to me) very challenging combat. Bosses take dozens of hits to kill, there is a very small hitbox to hit them, usually in a small room to manoeuvre in, and you die in 1 hit and start over from the beginning. To me that takes away from the story and just makes things very frustrating. For a story driven game, that is not the best combination in my opinion. it's not a bad game, it has good mechanics, puzzles are inventive, story is not bad, etc. but it's just not a good sequal to the previous game i.m.o.
I love this game
I'm not sure if you can remap controls on both controller or keyboard, because I was using a PS5 controller but the controls were weird. Also, every time I picked up the anvil it would just disappear never to be seen again.
