About
Horripilant is a chilling incremental dungeon crawl through the horrors of a forgotten underworld. Combining idler, puzzle and autobattler elements, you'll fight, mine, and think your way through the depths of a forsaken dungeon. With each step you'll grow stronger, but beware; every boon has its burden.
You awaken. An old, battered knight, lost in the darkest corners of an abandoned dungeon, with no memory of how you got there. The stench of decay permeates the thick air. The walls seem to whisper your name.
A strange tree catches your eye. Barely a sprout, growing in defiance of the dark. The voice demands you hit it. A twig breaks off onto the ground. The first of many.
Distorted moans echo from an empty staircase. Beckoning you. You must go down. It is your purpose...
Encounter bizarre characters, solve cryptic puzzles, and survive the horrors that lurk in every shadow. Will you escape this living nightmare, or will it consume you?

Incrementally gain and collect materials.
Combat horrific foes over 1000 floors in the dungeon.
Solve puzzles and explore the depths of your camp.
Upgrade your gear to venture deeper.

Become worthy
Repeat, adapt, and survive. The depths need you, and you, them.

Wake up, my child.
:3
i normally hate idlers, but this gives me enough to do to not get bored out of my mind instantly. It's the only game that makes me come back everyday or two, just so i can upgrade my gear or farms, then I go back to my day unless i want to go to the caves. I love the fact I dont need to pause, i can go make a meal and come back like nothing lol. Anyways, very good mix of idler and actual gameplay, with the option to make it totally automated.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

COOL
Horripilant is a surprisingly original mix of an idle game, an auto-battler, and a point-and-click puzzle adventure. This isn't a traditional horror game but its biggest strength is its atmosphere. The world is bleak, oppressive, and genuinely unsettling. Sparse music, dark hallways, and bizarre, grotesque NPCs create a constant feeling of unease that makes exploration surprisingly engaging. The gameplay is exactly what idle fans would expect: clicking resources, unlocking passive production, upgrading equipment, and resetting through a prestige system with its own currency. The gameplay loop goes like this: Gather resources → Upgrade gear → Defeat monsters → Reach a specific dungeon floor → Obtain a key item → Solve a puzzle with it → Repeat once every available path becomes a dead end. Progression is satisfying, and every prestige run noticeably speeds up the next one. Few things are as rewarding as returning to the dungeon and flying through hundreds of floors in seconds after investing in enough upgrades. That said, the game definitely caters to idle enthusiasts. Outside of the puzzle sections, player interaction is fairly limited. Manual clicking quickly becomes obsolete since passive income vastly outscales it, and combat doesn't evolve much either. Although enemies have clickable weak points, the mechanic loses most of its relevance once your equipment reaches a certain level. The monsters themselves look different, but aside from their stats, encounters play out almost identically. Although the game rewards replaying the dungeon from Floor 1 every run to optimize stats bonuses but it also means having to repeat the full climb over and over can eventually become tedious. Some design choices also feel a bit odd. Resource requirements eventually climb into the billions and trillions, yet most equipment reaches its upgrade cap after only a few million resources. Those gigantic numbers end up feeling more cosmetic than meaningful, unless you're willing to close the game for days. The companion system was another disappointment for me: companions attack too slowly, die too easily, and never feel impactful enough to justify investing in them compared to the main character. Verdict: If you enjoy idle games, this is an easy recommendation. The progression is addictive, the prestige system is rewarding, and the eerie atmosphere helps it stand out from countless other incremental games. If you're looking for deep combat mechanics or constant player interaction, you'll probably lose interest fairly quickly. But if you want a game you can check on from time to time or simply leave running while doing something else, Horripilant is well worth your time.
Took me a little over 20 hours to complete with a fun puzzle and bit of idle play, this was an outstanding game to play. A couple more hours to finish all the achievements and I'll probably do another run just to see if I can get it done faster. Thank you for this amazing game.
