About

In Homicide Desk you work a homicide the way a real detective's desk works: a case file lands, a short list of suspects, and a screen full of tools. No waypoints, no glowing clues, no cutscenes telling you what to think. Read the evidence, run the lab, and question your suspects in your own words — then decide who you're willing to charge.
Get it right and the case closes. Get it wrong and Internal Affairs opens a file on you.

There is no dialogue tree. Type whatever you want and your suspect answers back in natural, conversational language — deflecting, rationalizing, contradicting themselves. Slide a document across the table and watch their stress meter spike. Push too hard on nothing and they lawyer up and walk. Corner them with the right evidence and the story finally cracks.

Everything lives on the desktop, and you have to actually use it:
Case files — dig through nested folders of reports, statements and photos.
Forensics lab — you don't click "analyze." You align the fingerprint, break the cipher, and calibrate the chromatograph yourself, against the clock.
phone records & photo evidence — flag the timestamp, cross-reference the calls, drag the UV light across the print.
Locked & sealed documents — some files won't open until you've earned the code or unsealed them in interrogation.

A rain-soaked, fictional port city in the Republic of Meridia, rendered as a CRT-era police OS — scanlines, a working world clock, weather on the taskbar, and a case that pushes back in real time with pressure emails and a mid-case twist.
Free-text suspect interrogations that respond to your questions and your evidence
Hands-on forensics, phone-record and photo-analysis puzzles
A physical evidence board with string connections and a case-chain tracker
Written deductions with real consequences for a wrong arrest
Multiple guilty-party variants — reopen a solved case and the truth changes
A living precinct: salary economy, patrol dispatch, commissary, side games
Fully playable in English and Arabic, with full right-to-left support
The case is open, Detective. The desk is yours.

finished whole 5 case and last case finished with 300/300 full detective score. Now I start to know how to play this game. I agree someone's comment that you have to use evidence or key words to interview your suspect and trigger the new/ key evidence to open warrant page. But finding and thinking the connection between each evidence and try to get full deduction score is fun too. All the case is not hard, wish to see more case coming.

I love the game. I finished all the cases in 6 hours but it was still fun. cant wait to see what is in store with the updates.

If solving cases is your thing this game is definitely for YOUUUU! 1. You will be gathering conclusions based on what's presented to you but I like the way they still kind of guide you through the case but more in the sense of in real life you will be working with other departments to help you build your case. 2. They really prioritize what's admissible in court and not just making decisions based off a hunch. 3. I like that you get to interrogate the suspects involved and depending on the question you also might get answers that give you more insight to the personalities of the people you are dealing with. I got stumped for a little because I didn't realize I could open one of the objects because the indicator that says its sealed was so small but that's on me to be more thorough! Great game! Thanks for your hard work!
The Good: Fun with generative AI. Doesn't feel like talking to an AI assistant most of the time and more like an actor playing witness in character -- most of the time anyway. The guardrails are well-written so that abuses are deflected naturally, somewhat. The fact that the player is compiling a case summary (albeit woefully short) adds to empowerment, as if the player had control over how the case is to be proceeded with. The Bad: As with many offline APIs, the chatbot isn't particularly good at elliptical questions and semantic affinities. For example, in case 2, one of the questions I asked concerned a suspect's attire, to which "they" (so as not to spoil the game) said, "I don't know." And then I simply asked "Your shoes?" To which the suspect says, "I've already told you, I was (where they were at the time)." I don't think any amount of coding and prompts can solve that. It's an API issue with the choice of bots -- although I must say a lot of these silly moments are masked quite well with how the prompts (i.e. player questions and abuses) are deflected. I also find that not being able to confront one suspect with the words of another -- a perfectly legitimate tactic, leaves something to be desired. The 10 question per session mechanism -- while a brilliant way to mask the limitations on the context tokens the API can safely handle, also makes methodical and slow questioning unrewarding. There's no buildup like you see in police interview videos. You go straight for the jugular. Like that French chap earlier said, I would suspect some parts of the game will not translate very well into other languages. As much as machine translation works like 80% of the time, it is the 20% that causes the hurt. I have yet to try the game in another language but I suspect the game relying heavily on language, this will cause game breaking moments. Also, a bit more of training the player may help -- things like a sample case report for players to look at, see what makes for a passing report, or things like what sort of question forms will make suspects more likely to talk. These will be of big help. If the game has a sequel in say, 5-6 years' time when every rig players have can run a 31B offline chatbot without breaking a sweat, then this game will no doubt be even more fun than it is.
