Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

If you're already familiair to Homeworld, your expectations will be higher and HW3 will probably disappoint. However, as a fan of the series, I had some fun with this 'spinoff'. The graphics are very good, the game is stable, it's hard on hard difficulty. If you're new to HomeWorld, part 1 and 2 are much better games. The storyline is very interesting, there is a lot of lore as a reward for your efforts. What the devs could do if there ever will be a Homeworld 4: - Don't use megastructures most of the time; only some of the time. You want to fly through space, not through buildings. - Make sequel to HW3 or a pre-prequel to HW2 with a fascinating storyline that expands the lore. - Make sure the unit types are balanced. Building fleet bombers was of no use after two levels. - Make sure certain tactics actually tip the balance of forces. Now it didn't seem to matter which formation I had chosen. - Don't use huge numbers of units. It's much cooler to use a few units which are different. Now, it was mostly: build as many heavy ships you can and then massively attack at a certain point. Reinforce and repeat. - Delete the turrets. No fun there. - Perhaps add a grand strategic element into a sequel or 'pre-prequel'. Where you have several planets/systems in order to conquer and provide resources and tactical battles.
This game may feel very different from the other homeworld games, keep in mind that indeed a lot of time has passed since Deserts of Kharak as well, but it shouldn't be frowned upon. It still smells like homeworld, devs should have better polished some sides of the game considering the launch took much more time than announced, but still. The story is rather good, at least until the ending, which is kinda confusing and probably too much hasty. It may have been a better game, sure, but it is neither that bad like many says.
Ob man satte 60€ dafür zahlen möchte ist nochmal was anderes.
