Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Crashea cosa mala, el juego no esta mal pero tienen que arreglarlo
Pros: Beautiful backdrops, music, and visuals. As is expected from Homeworld. Interesting storyline Somewhat scratched that Homeworld itch as someone who played HW when it first came out 25 years and the three following add-ons. But given the long production time, I expected HW3 to be double the number of missions and more freedom to control the fleet, more freedom to expand the fleet, and generally larger maps. All of HW3 maps save for one seemed incredibly small and did not capture the scale of HW, HW2 and HWC. Some nice ship management like automatic grouping of similar types on the UI for displace purposes, but also made it difficult if you wanted to split up those ships to cover others as you could not easily select each ship unless you were zoomed to the right amount of distance to show them as individuals. If better camera control and ability to zoom out further before it would autogroup in the UI, I think that would have helped a lot. Click on surface to send units is awesome and adds more than just the movement disc. Cons: Camera control is limiting which is frustrating. With HW and HW2 you could zoom way out without using the sensor manager to get a wide view of the battlespace. With HW3 the native limit is very close, requiring a lot of clicking around to see each group which makes it less like managing the whole fleet in a useful manner. Small maps, limited need to manage the fleet, very linear progression without a variety of strategy needed. All the previous HW games it made a lot of sense to need to group ships and manage formations. Here it seemed more like an afterthought to have those options. Limited RU availability and truncated research tree. While we had all the usual flavors of ships common to most of the HW universe, there wasn't anything new. Pathing for ships docking was messy and the dock openings are too small. I expected better polish. UI issues where the icons for shiptypes disappear when zoomed in too close but also unable to zoom out far so that was a constant battle to select the units you wanted. Resource controllers were dumb at times with trying to get certain RU deposits and would often refuse. In conclusion, yes I recommend it, if only for the hope that we get a HW4 with better improvement. It was a fun game, but very quick. I beat it in less than a day. The other HW games could go longer because they were much larger maps, more choices needed to be made and more epic battles. All of these battles were small, there wasn't a lot of balance or need to fiddle with fleet composition much beyond ions and capital ships once you got them. Strikecraft were mostly muted. No subsystem abilities to control or attack. No cloak missions. No variety of tools like specializing battlecruisers that you did in HW2. The whole tunnel aspect, while interesting, only used it once in the one mission where you had to because of the turrets. Usually it would be too annoying to micro the limited camera for no real benefits. Buy it on sale because it seems to me like a letdown for the result after the hype.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I held off on getting this game for a long time because of all the negative reviews. Finally decided to pull the trigger during a 50% off sale. I actually found the campaign to be pretty enjoyable, overall. Great graphics and cool space-RTS battles. Missions were fun. Maybe not worth $60, subjectively, but I would definitely consider picking it up on sale. There does seem to be some occasional issues with unit control, but honestly that could just be my own shortcomings, as I'm not a particularly good gamer. Hard to say for certain. I was able to get through the first 11 missions on Normal difficulty, but I switched it over to Easy for the last two missions (I game to relax, so if it takes me more than a couple attempts at a mission I tend to drop down the difficulty). But yeah, I think it is a lot better than many of the reviews might lead you to believe, and I would like to see more of these types of games, so I'm giving it a thumbs-up. As to the story, I didn't think it was bad. Not great, but just kind of okay. I mean, I feel like most video game stories are not particularly great, so I don't know what people were expecting here. Like, if I really wanted a great story I would probably go read a book...

First the good part: the engine works well, the graphics are decent, and the sound is good as well. The controls are a matter of taste. I liked the new version of the controls, but it has problems - just as the old controls had. You can switch between old and new controls and mix them a bit, which works ok. These aspects plus a heavy dose of nostalgia do not save this game, though. The first mission is great, you feel at home and start to get hyped for a new Homeworld game. And then the characters start talking... The story is completely nonsensical. It is not even cringe-worthy, it is too stupid and boring even for that. The characters are not even cliches, they are non-existent. This sinks the game completely. Homeworld was never just about being an RTS in 3D, it was always about traveling through space. The story is so bad that it does not allow for any immersion whatsoever. The fleet feels sluggish, your units do not react to your commands. In the beginning, this is true for certain ship types (flak/turret-based ships work fine because they do not need to be oriented correctly which makes them usable) and capital ships are just not fun to field. This was somewhat problematic in the old Homeworld games as well... The levels are rather small (or there are just so many friendly and hostile units that the levels feel small). In consequence, you are engaged almost immediately, and you have very little opportunity to manouver. This increases the impression that you have very limited control over your fleet. You control too many units which forces you to zoom out. This means that the graphics no longer look all that good because you can no longer differentiate between your ship types and need an abstract overlay of symbols and the further you zoom out the harder it is to control your units - this being 3D after all. The game does cluster your ships into groups automatically once you zoom out far enough but this does not work very well. So, you constantly have to slow down or even stop time to sort everything out. This in turn increases the sluggishness of the game. The levels are mostly either uninspired or incredibly stupid/unconvincing. There are some that are mediocre and some that are horrible but there is no good ones. Nothing impressive or memorable (not even because they are stupid in an interesting way). To add insult to injury, there are missing quality of life features. There is no option to collect leftover resources after the mission ends. Some missions just end, others allow for a delayed exit to harvest the remaining resources (which is rather boring to do after all enemies are defeated). For some missions, there is a reason for the fleet not to stick around and therefore there is no need to allow auto-collecting resources in those missions - but this only covers a very small number of missions.
Great Story and dynamic game play. It is a great addition to the Homeworld universe,
after playing the full campaign, i still see this game underwhelming. on the past i was playing HW1-HW2 remastered and tbh, a better felt game was deserts of khark also from this publisher. so cheesy and hallow game play and story telling - boring.
Huge disappointment I did not continue the game, they lost it
