Shallow Rune Factory wannabe with a Hololive skin. This feels more like a cash grab targeted at Hololive fans rather than a real game, which saddens me quite a lot because I've been following the development of this game since it was announced and it was really promising. Speaking of promise, the game includes Myth and Advent, but no CouncilRys, not even Promise. Also, no ID members either. Not that it matters much though, since holomems are basically lifeless soundboards.

Underwhelmingly mediocre farming sim. Hologals just walk around repeating the same three voice lines all the time and you can't even bring them with you in the disappointing dungeon crawling segments. You got like 8 short raids where each of them has its own tier but there's a difficulty curve between each of them so you spend most of the time replacing all your gear. Also final boss is doing some Sans Undertale ♥♥♥♥ Also for whatever reason the game has Councilrys and Justice missing
I wish I could give this a mixed review I really do. I enjoyed the game but there are several things that are stopping me from replaying this, I'll start with the good: The music is fantastic, with some of my favorites being Mumei, Shallys, and Non Fiction. The models are super cute, and the art style is pretty. Now my gripes: Lack of original stuff: The game has a severe lack of stuff like original outfits. In the Kuromarine shop (More on that later) about 70% of the outfits are the hololive members outfits which only ONE of them are dyeable that being Pekoras. Not there's a good bit of original furniture but I do wish there were more. Lack of members and representations: Now there are quite a good number of hololive members about 70% of them are here. However gens like: Councilrys, Justice, all of ID, Flow Glow, HoloX, and Gen 1 (Fubukis there but part of gamers) are missing. Now in the furniture shop there are some sections that have furniture dedicated to the girls however some are a bit weird. Examples being Councils section, I'm wondering if it was something with Hololive or the devs were Bae fans because Bae has: two skateboards, one tapestry, and a cushion. Now the cushions are the only representations for the other members, except it seems either they didn't want to or chose not to include anything for Sana. ID has three furniture options that are all for Area 13. Justice has NOTHING, no furniture, outfits, nothing. Gen 1 has six items which sounds a bit better but they are all multi options meant to represent all of them. Flow Glow has a single tapestry of Chihaya and that's it. HoloX has three items, a meeting table with changeable colors to represent each member, cushions, and a plush of La+s crow. I'm hoping they plan to add more members in the future as free updates so we can have all the members. Now there are some representations of the members in terms of items, fish, and enemies. (In the mountain enemy there's a Koyori themed enemy and there's a rare Chloe fish) We also have Ckia which is some representation for ID but I'm really hoping to see the rest. Lifeless Residents: Honestly these are the most lifeless residents I've seen in a game like this. In a game like animal crossing or other games the residents will often talk to each other, go fishing, and go about their daily lives. The members don't do any of that. They don't even interact with each other besides when they are on a bench together. The only time they do something is when you make them work the shops (More on shops later). Now I THINK they could fish or they might only do it when given the fisher job. They also don't have much to say. They have like three dialogue options: One for talking to them when they aren't a resident, one for when they move in, and one for when their a resident. Their also literally just walking soundboards. They'll walk around aimlessly, say and repeat 1-3 voice lines and that's it. You can interact with them but only to have them follow you and pose for pictures. They won't even follow you outside to gather or fight with you. Some of the voice lines are questionable as well. My main suspect being Suisei. She has two voice lines when she's in the village: one where she sings a bit, and then when she screams. The amount of times I've gotten jumpscared by Suisei screaming in the corner upsets me. The Kuromarine store: This store which accessed through the main menu or a menu in game is the only way to get inside furniture and clothes. Now you'd think you'd use the coins you earn from selling items in the two stores you can place or to the shop NPC's to buy these items. Well unfortunately you use a completely separate currency to purchase these. This currency is obtained at the end of every day where your given some for: Logging in daily, doing quests, and selling stuff (very little though). It's with these items you can buy stuff. This is the only way to get cosmetics or inside furniture. Now thankfully everything is super cheap being 1 for a piece of furniture and 2 for a piece of clothing. Combat: The combat could use some improvement. Magic is absolutely broken as range is super important in this game. Now I did do my first playthrough of the game going pure melee and with potions it's pretty manageable. But when I started a second playthrough with magic the bosses I struggled with when I used melee I beat quickly and on my first try. It was night and day the difficulty difference. Not saying it was hard it was just obvious how much easier the game gets when you use magic and spec into that tree. I wish there were more weapon type varieties but that's a me thing. My conclusion: I had a bunch more complaints but a lot of them were fixed. Going for rare fish was made a bit easier, bugs were fixed, placing was made easier, and a bunch of other things. Do I recommend this game? To a Hololive fan yes. To someone looking for a cozy game not yet. I really wish this game was launched into early access and not as a completed game. I wouldn't be as critical if it was an early access game. The game was still fun during my first playthrough. Doing all the quests and seeing all the weapons I could make was enjoyable. I hope the devs continue to work on the game giving use more members, outfits, and furniture. They recently gave us a new set of furniture so we can replicate the hololive office from the HoloGras. So I believe we'll get more stuff in future updates. I will happily edit this when those things happen.

However, I really enjoyed the gameplay, it was very fun and had a clear goal. I'd like to see more new features added, such as allowing more people to live in the village and showing each person's house number, which reflects the order in which they were invited to live there. The end credits show a photo that might indicate how the characters' positions were arranged based on the order in which they were invited. This game seems to be constantly updated with new features, as many things are still missing. And if I'm right, I'll probably continue playing this game as a hololive fan
Good simple fun for those that are fans of Hololive! It's not too complex to get into, and you have a variety of ways to engage with the town to grow as you like. I see a lot of potential to add on to the town side of the game, while the adventure portion feels rather complete. While there were some decoration options I found while playing, I am hoping to see this expanded on alongside interaction with the villagers as that appears to be the main draw after completing the story. Regarding the adventure, gameplay for quicker fighting styles feels well balanced (I dropped the heavier fighting style early on and cannot comment on that, and have not touched magic yet.) While you enter an area feeling well challenged for every step, the gear made in each zone is paced to the progression well. The bosses are a mixed bag, with some feeling sluggish and others ramping up the difficulty relative the to the region greatly. I look forward to seeing what is done with this going forward!
very hesitant recommendation, but only for people who like hololive. would give a neutral recommend if i could. it's just basically a worse rune factory. the game itself is FINE, but not stellar. farming, combat, crafting, and the town itself are all fairly shallow. combat in particular can be frustrating because the player movement and attacks are very stiff. enemies aren't really phased by player attacaks, while enemies are capable of knocking you around and interrupting your attacks easily. trying to fight more than one enemy at once is just not fun, leading you to get ping ponged between enemies, constantly interrupted with little opportunity to defend yourself. there is also no dodge roll or anything, so getting out of harm's way feels clunkier than it should. at the end of the day, the game isn't BAD, but it just made me want to play rune factory 4. the hololive branding carries this game pretty hard.
50/50 game that would do good with more improvement. here are some issues I found that made gameplay a bit stale for me: - animation lock is insane - resource grinding is way too much - fishing minigame is boring - storage system needs to have a filter function - limited amount of customization for house (especially village) decor with that said, I did enjoy playing the game even with the aforementioned issues. hope they keep on updating it with more qol fixes and content.
As cozy as it can be
