About
Hold'em Fold'em Poker is a relaxed, no-nonsense take on Texas Hold'em, built to be simple and easy to play — over an evening with friends, or solo with bots, with a smooth 80s lounge soundtrack taking you through to the river.
No pay-to-win. No mystery loot boxes. No energy timers. No premium currency. Just card cosmetics for your hand that don't affect gameplay in any way.
Hosting a game is quick and easy. Full Steam friends integration and utilizing Steamworks for lobbies. Peer2Peer with lobby handover in case you lose connection whilst hosting your game.
The play area offers extensive customization if you so wish; card faces, card backs, decks, table felts, reaction themes, music playlists, mouse cursors. Want to go further? Drop your own card art, table felts, or music into an easy to find content folder and the game picks them up automatically.

Reviews
Works well on the Steamdeck. The font could be bigger, though. The game runs at 16:9 aspect ratio even if you set the game resolution limit to 1280x800 in properties. The actual game though is really good. The interface is clean. Has enough options to customize the more flashy aspects of it (e.g., car lightning and spotlight). No mobile-game-esque pop ups and loots with daily bonuses or slots or spins the wheel or rewards for momentum. Deviation from stereotypical casino games is greatly appreciated. good options for customizing bots as well. would greatly benefit from a bigger font.
A good alternative to Poker Night 2 for a chill game before bed.

Finally, a poker game that just lets you play poker. Hold'em Fold'em Poker is exactly what I've been looking for after trying way too many "poker" games on Steam that turn out to be skinner-box casinos with loot boxes and predatory currencies. This one is refreshingly straightforward and respectful of your time. The game delivers pure Texas Hold'em with zero filler. No fake money packs, no VIP nonsense, no daily login rewards nagging you. You just sit down, choose your stakes (or custom rules), and play. Whether you're jumping into a quick session with bots or hosting a lobby with friends, it feels clean and focused. What stands out: UI is excellent — intuitive, functional, and actually good-looking. Everything is where you expect it to be. No clutter, no confusing menus. Folding, betting, raising — it all feels smooth and responsive. Customization — really strong here. You can tweak pretty much everything to match how you and your friends like to play. Rules, blinds, table settings, etc. It's flexible without being overwhelming. Multiplayer & Bots — Plays great both online with friends and against the AI. The bots are competent enough to be fun without feeling like they're reading your soul or completely braindead. Steam Achievements — Nice set of challenges that actually encourage you to try different things instead of feeling tacked on. This is one of those rare games that understands what it's supposed to be: a solid, no-BS poker simulator you can actually enjoy for hours. No ads, no microtransactions, no nonsense. Just cards, strategy, and the occasional friendly trash talk in voice chat. If you love poker and hate all the garbage most modern poker games shovel in, buy this one. It's the real deal. 10/10 — Straight to my "play with the boys" rotation.
One of the best Poker games out there to jump on and have a game with your friends. No sign-up nonsense, No Pay to play. I used to play discord's poker game with friends but it was always plagued with bugs and other issues. I since have tried many of the online poker games and none of them seemed to be what I was looking for. A simple no fuss poker game that doesn't over-do things, ask for real money or have a unnecessary sign up process, but also looks smart, plays smoothly and is easy to set-up and start playing whether by yourself with bots or with friends. The game is very customizable, has a smart but simple settings/GUI layout that works well as intended. Well worth the price of a cup of coffee for endless hours of fun without the headaches that many of the other poker games seem to come with. Seriously, Give it a try!
