While this was a very short experience, the story was well done. I was left wanting more and sometimes that is the best thing you can ask for from a game. The clay design was really well done and it was a cool change from your typical animation style! Overall, this was a really interesting gaming experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
The game has only 2 interesting aspects. The idea of a clay world, and it being Czech. But it fails at everything else. I'll start with the gameplay, since it's easy to describe: annoying. You are either walking or doing the revolutionary chore gameplay mechanic, which is additionally being frustrating with a mechanic that doesn't let you see most of what you do the whole time. As for the story, I'm sorry, but it's boring and, again, annoying. Boring, because not only is it short, but it doesn't try to invent anything new or make its cliché plot point somewhat interesting. And annoying, because ending a dialogue with "I need to tell you something..." isn't an interesting trope, as it would be if it would lead to anything later in the story, it's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There are so many things left unexplained that the mystery aspect turns into lazy writing. The whole game is about hooking you up for something that never reveals itself. For this game to be good, or at the very least okay, the plotline would have to be longer and worked on more, even if the gameplay's plain. There are so many media with the same exact storyline to take inspiration from that leaving only the main plot point and masking it with the "clay world" filter just won't cut it
Ok, this is a bit difficult to rate. First let's talk about the gameplay. It was fine, the parts in a factory were a bit challenging and fun, however, the rest of it was simply just walking and talking to other npc's. I also had a few technical difficulties but it may be that my potato pc didn't want to cooperate. Now let's talk about the graphics. This was very interesting. Personally I haven't played a stop motion game before (or at least I don't think I did) and the fact that everything was a clay formed into a models was really intriguing. Lastly there is the story. At first glance it can be just boring nothingness to you. But when you start thinking about it then it really shines. This short "reality horror" is most powerful in it's realism. I won't say more, just read between the lines to fully understand not only the simplicity but also the complexity of this story. Now, why did I click the "not recommend" button? It's simple, from my point of view the majority of people won't enjoy this game. I personally did and I am certain there are many people who'll enjoy this as well. If you want to buy the game after this review then you are probably one of them. After all, the price is fine if you ask me. However, there is still the chance of you being bored and maybe frustrated you just spent an hour of your life with this. But I'd also say that every person from Czech Republic should play this game. Mostly the people from Moravian-Silesian Region. From my perspective it's mostly about them. And like I said it's only about an hour at max.
This was well made! The graphics were charming, and the pov was great! Voice acting was a full 13/10 it's a dark but good story.
Iss gud🙂🙂
Very short game but the atmosphere is very nice. It could be better but still enjoyed it.
