HITMAN World of Assassination

First thing's first: ignore the drama, just buy the Deluxe Version. For $30 on seasonal sale, it's more content than even most hardcore fans will ever play through. Review: Hitman WoA is a great game for the most part. It's a fun sandbox puzzle game where you figure out the best way to kill people. The thing to be aware of is that it's technically three games in a bundle, and there is very little consistency between them. IOI has put very little effort into making it seem like one game, in spite of still pumping out DLC years after. It causes a lot of whiplash to go from the most beautiful FMVs you've ever seen to stilted storyboards, from tight, well-crafted maps to oversized hodgepodge areas implying ambition without direction or time. It's still a great game, but unless you're already a huge Hitman fan, you should probably just get the basic version, the first game, when it's 90% off on seasonal sale, which is already a plethora of content.

started hitman world of assassins on 7/14/2026 finished prologue & starting hitman 1 at 4pm 7/14/2026

I had such a blast playing this game. The amount of freedom of choice this game offers you is mind blowing. You can kill your target in so many different ways, like poisoning, drowning, making them fall from a banana peel so you keep your hands clean. This game also offers a sort of rogue-like mode called Freelance mode that looks interesting and I will be checking it out. Only problem with this game I'd say is how confusing it is to find which version to buy, as in the steam page, they don't really clarify what which edition has to offer and I see others also complaining about it. Also some main story quests are locked behind a DLC which kinda sucks. Getting this game on a sale is definitely worth it.
