Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 1 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The second chapter is even better than the first one
Yet another slow start, but I'd say it was thoroughly worth it! As nonsensical and confusing it was at times, the introduction of Shion was more than enjoyable! Even if I got second-hand embarrassment from Keiichi at times. That, I fear, was just unavoidable. He's your average teenage boy, after all. That aside, it certainly strengthened Mion as a character for me. It being a Mion focus this time around was a joy for me, honestly. I think overall, it provided a bountiful amount of expansion on her character, making me like her even more than I did prior. Her motivations and reaction in game to various situations... Ough. I love her so much. Mion Sonozaki you are so dear to me. Just the same as Onikakushi, Watanagashi's experience improves so much more when you use the 07th mod for voice acting. The delivery of lines 100% helped me get more invested. I'm sure there's someone out there that could play Higurashi without the voice acting and be just as invested, but I still stand by the belief that it adds so much that's left to be desired without it. You lose a lot of emotional impact without it. Finally. Gotta give a shoutout here for the peculiar woman that is Miyo Takano making a return. Need to see more of her. I'm sooo curious as to what's up with her.

Man bekommt zwar neue Informationen, gleichzeitig entstehen dadurch gefühlt doppelt so viele neue Fragen.
