God, I really wish I knew what to say about High Fidelity's journey, particularly the last six months, since they essentially abandoned their original, highly supportive user community this past spring, and made an abrupt pivot towards becoming a remote workteams app for business users. HiFi has done this to survive, as a means for the company to stay afloat until more consumers take up virtual reality. They were burning through all that venture capital too quickly it seems, and had nothing profitable to show for it, so they decided to take this drastic step. Look, as a social VR blogger I admit that I have my biases, but as far as I can tell, and from what I have been told by people who were and still are more intimately involved with High Fidelity than I am, this platform is bleeding users and seems to be doomed. There's absolutely no guarantee that a move to a business platform supporting remote workteams is going to succeed. Frankly a business solution still needs all the features that were lacking in the original consumer version. And it just breaks my heart to watch all this unfold from the sidelines. Things could have been so different. This whole episode is a textbook-classic example that should be studied in business schools on how NOT to treat your existing customers and how NOT to market to potential customers. High Fidelity has gone from mistake to mistake to mistake. There still are a few in-world events, but overall the original userbase has abandoned HiFi, feeling upset, confused, betrayed and angry at the way High Fidelity is running things. The users are so pissed off that they started their own, separate user forums and Discord because they no longer trusted HiFi to maintain theirs. Many users have left to other social VR platforms such as NeosVR and Sansar. For more details, you should read FlameSoulis' and Wunkay's detailed negative reviews elsewhere in this review section. Both have been very heavily involved in the High Fidelity developer community, and their reviews are more informed, and more damning, than anything I could write. Go read them: Flame Soulis's review: https://steamcommunity.com/id/FlameSoulis/recommended/390540 Wunkay's review: https://steamcommunity.com/id/athauxan/recommended/390540/ I'm just going to post this link to my blog here, where you can read all my blogposts about HiFi for yourself, if you're interested: https://ryanschultz.com/category/high-fidelity-highlights/

It's jittery on a powerful system (GTX 1080) The tutorial area shows a broken web browser fail to load page above each tutorial text. Worst of all, it's totally empty apart from like 3 people total that I saw that were just idling. This one is dead folks, nothing to see here. Sad too, I was very excited to try this one due to the 4 Vive Tracker support.
High Fidelity is my home! I love this place. So much Freedom here to build your own world! In world Currency that transfers into real money! Amazing mature creative people. Takes getting used to but when you loose your baby leggs you can do so much here. If you find your self in high fidelity and have nothing to do then your lacking creativity...
This sim is currently in beta as I write this, and it's apparent it needs a lot of work before it's more functional. The base design of the system seems reasonable. The tutorial is easy to follow. The online helpers are helpful. But there just doesn't appear to be much content, or community yet. Like most "virtual worlds" it's going to come down to who is there and what there is to do. Right now, there isn't much. This sim seems to want to position itself as a vehicle to promote some kind of cyber/crypto currency and marketplace for objects and things. It remains to be seen if that would ever be viable. Not much to recommend at this point, but I'll keep checking back to see how it develops. Right now, this just one of the many virtual chat room worlds that lacks any unique community.
OOH dear - I have high hope for game - is empty - not anyone here - the only one online was me.- it's hard to navigate - not intuitive in any way - cannot connect to domains in the goto - I's such a shame - content creation is difficult - why a custom UI when tools are industry standard for this - i cannot recommend this without many friends who want join you in game for fun.
I dont understand the mixed reviews. I tried this on a to be honest not capable machine with a HTC Vive, it was amazing. It did not crash like others are saying, and I played it for about an hour and a half. I REALLY love Second Life, and this reminds me of a "VR" version of it. I love creating stuff and manipulating things like in SL in this game. The HUD in the bubble is awesome. As I have only played this for an hour and a half I cant really give much of a good review but for the time I played it was EPIC. If you love Second Life and have a decent spec pc, and use a decent HMD then I would highly recommend this. I did not want to stop playing, but then realized I really should take a break.
I would vouch for this game, but I honestly don't see the point, avatars are confusing as hell, there's no index controller support whatsoever from what I've played, not even buttons work right, despite it being listed on the store page as valve index supported.
Die Erfahrung bei 350 Leute Server-Load-Test war schon genial. Man hatte ein tolles mittendrin Gefühl. Für mich die bessere alternative zum VRChat. Es gibt auch einige Umgebungen zu erkunden!
