So fun! I've completed the normal run of the game and really enjoyed it. I love how the different areas of the map become more colorful when you've found every cat in that area, letting you know to start looking somewhere else. I'm looking forward to the advanced mode with randomized placement. I recommend this search and find game. :)
Cute artwork, fun extra levels, really a great little game to play on and off.
I think once you've played one of these you kinda get the gist of how they all go, but don't let that detract from the fun time in store. This is yet another neat 'hidden object' game with multiple levels, lots of characters and easter eggs to find, nice tunes to listen to, achievements, trading cards all at an affordable price. If you're curious about the genre or someone who has played a ton of these, this is a great entry point or continuation. I recommend picking it up!
many cats
Hidden Cats in Spooky Town is another charming entry in Nukearts Studio’s growing series of cozy, hand-illustrated hidden-object games, and this time the developers lean fully into the whimsy and atmosphere of Halloween. Instead of sunlit cityscapes or familiar urban backdrops, the game takes players through a playful, slightly eerie, and wonderfully crowded world of haunted houses, crooked lamp posts, mischievous ghosts, and pumpkin-lit streets. As with the rest of the series, the premise is deceptively simple: find cats—lots of them—hidden cleverly within a dense black-and-white illustration that slowly comes alive with color as you make progress. But while the mechanics remain straightforward, the Halloween theme adds extra personality, making each scene feel like a festive diorama packed with delightful details. The structure begins with an uncolored sketch of Spooky Town, a landscape overflowing with visual humor and seasonal motifs. As players discover cats tucked into windows, perched on gravestones, blended into patterns, or lounging on rooftops, the drawing gradually fills with color, creating a sense of transformation that is both visually satisfying and motivating. The absence of timers, score thresholds, or fail states encourages exploration at a gentle pace. Rather than pushing players to excel, the game nudges them to immerse themselves in the tiny stories unfolding across the illustration: a witch preparing potions, a skeleton catching a bus, a ghost hovering by a mailbox. The appeal lies not in competition but in the pleasure of noticing. Two main modes offer different levels of engagement. The standard mode features 120 cats hidden in fixed positions and a small supply of hints—useful for locating especially devious hides. Advanced mode doubles down on the complexity, introducing 200 cats placed semi-randomly, along with humans and special characters that unlock bonus levels when found. These additional scenes push the Halloween theme even further, leading players into spooky mansions, ghost-filled parties, and a series of vibrant after-dark vignettes. With nearly a thousand objects to identify across the full collection of scenes, Hidden Cats in Spooky Town provides a substantial amount of content for a game built around calm, observational play. The art direction is one of the game's standout qualities. Nukearts Studio has developed a signature hand-drawn style that balances clarity with density. Spooky Town is busy but readable, whimsical but not chaotic. Important objects stand out without revealing themselves too easily, and the monochrome-to-color transition ensures that progress feels meaningful. The Halloween theme is expressed through countless small touches: bats fluttering in corners, jack-o’-lanterns glowing softly, ghosts woven into architectural patterns, and witches hiding in the margins. Even after long sessions, players will continue to spot new flourishes as they examine nooks and edges of the scene. The soft sound design—gentle music and occasional audio cues—adds to the relaxed, cozy ambiance rather than leaning into anything truly frightening. Still, the game remains squarely within the limitations of the hidden-object genre. While it offers a soothing experience, it does not introduce evolving mechanics or complexity beyond increasing object density. Once players finish all scenes and unlock every bonus area, replay value shifts primarily to personal enjoyment—revisiting the artwork, beating previous completion times, or simply relaxing with familiar puzzles. Those who prefer substantial progression systems, narrative arcs, or strategic depth may find the experience too slight or repetitive. Likewise, the sheer number of hidden objects in Advanced mode can become overwhelming, turning what should be a calm activity into a test of patience for some, especially when tiny or camouflaged cats blend too seamlessly into the environment. Despite these constraints, Hidden Cats in Spooky Town succeeds beautifully at what it sets out to offer: a tranquil, festive, and visually engaging escape into a Halloween miniature world. It is a game that invites players to unwind, to pay attention to small details, and to enjoy the gradual unfolding of color and personality across a lovingly illustrated scene. It is ideal for short daily sessions, for cozy seasonal play, or for anyone who enjoys gentle puzzle experiences that ask for curiosity rather than skill. As a continuation of Nukearts Studio’s signature formula, it captures the spirit of Halloween in a way that is warm rather than spooky, playful rather than frightening, and consistently delightful in its quiet simplicity. Exactly how its portrayed, find the cats and bonus items at times. Wish it was longer! Very relaxing and enjoyable.
a nice relaxing game, easy to do last for hours .
ハロウィンがテーマのネコ探しゲーム。ネコや人をとにかくいっぱい探せます。絵柄もよくておすすめ!
the cat says: BOO
Cute search and find game, but can get a little frustrating going for all achievements. The people are harder to find than the cats.
