No. Just no. Do NOT pull the trigger on Hexagon World. It's pretty feature-free. The only controls are to 1) add land; 2) add water; 3) make a set of hexes desert; 4) make a set of hexes snow. That's it. Nothing else. If you play this for 5 minutes, you've done everything you're ever going to do with it. Two menus (house and bomb) aren't even implemented. No way to change the speed. No way to change the sound volume. No way to scroll the map -- you can only zoom in and out on the center point. The cool airplanes? Just dots on the screen; you can't even see what they're doing unless it's happening near the screen center. Switching from flat earth to globe view often results in just a black screen. I knew within seven minutes I'd made a mistake buying this, but let it run for 35 extra minutes so I could write this review. Even earliest version of Gallimulator (which is excellent and still being developed) had wayyyyyy more features than this thing. I paid $0.99 for Hexagon World and got ripped off. If I'd paid the full $9.99 for this I'd be wanting to burn the designer's house down. The only reason I didn't request a refund is it's more than $0.99 worth of time and hassle. So enjoy my buck -- it'll be the last one you get from me (or anyone else, if they pay attention to this review). I have formally apologized to my computer's hard drive for sullying its electrons with this semi-functional trash.

Entirely feature free "god game" Actual trash, do not buy
Hexagon World is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, Piece Of Voxel. These guys (or just one guy flipping accounts to mislead gamers) do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. Todays Russian shovelware is barely a game, there's no actual gameplay loop. It's just a sandbox where you're presented with a procedurally generated 2D retro pixel "world map" that you can interact with by making it hotter, colder, or dropping bombs on... it's really shallow, and really garbage. Piece Of Voxel have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"DuelVox Max Quality" = Western Desert Town developed by KK Design
"Hoples" = Pixel Adventure 1 developed by Pixel Frog
"Top Truck Driver" = Hill Racing Template developed by Janko Knez
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game only ever reached a peak player count of TWO players. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason, nobody likes Russian shovelware. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
Terrible god game where you can do basically nothing. There is no point to this at all, its legitimately offensively bad and the developers should honestly be banned from Steam for ever thinking of charging 8,19€ for it. Works fine on Linux with Proton (9.0-4).
game shows promise but in its current state i wouldn't recommend it, at its price of 10 dollars i would not purchase it if more was added and it was polished a bit more then my review will change
Прикольно, есть возможность уменьшить карту, для большей производительности, что с мои пк очень радует
NO WAY!! A good premise but done very very very poorly! I wouldn't even get it on sale
You can only change temperature nothing more option in the "game" (except of bombing) there is no menu or game setting or anything else the terraforming in the video is a lie you cant do that. and cant turn off the fkin music. i spend 0,8 euro but it is also a waste for a nothing. most similar to a wallpaper not a game but you cant set it.
