So I've played through the 1st episode. I do have to say I enjoyed the game very much. The Charakter Design, Dialogues and Music are fitting. The Setting and Storytelling might be a bit linear, but as you have the choice to jump off the main quest from time to time, that's fine by me. Allthough in the beginning some Maincharakter Classes are very weak, they become overtuned in the end. This is kind of a minus as it makes the Fights way too easy, allmost boring. Having found your way into the fighting system it's allmost like there's no more challenge. I expected a bit more work to be done here, but what's done is done. Overall the first episode was VERY enjoyable and gave me 7 1/2 hours of constant playfun. Something modern day games will not so easily accomplish. With their mainstoryline. I would have wished for all three episodes of the game to be bought as one game alltgether. The price does keep me from continuing the game. Sum: PROS: - Good Story / Char-Design /Music - Can chose different options for mainquest - Romance/Loyality System, Dialogue options - INdividual Maincharakter Classes Cons: - Confusing fight system (You don't know the initiative of your charakters, alas you need to guess which charakter goes first vs. certain enemys. Especially when grinding/leveling/farming items that's kind of a blast. Most bosses are not affected by phys. hits, 3/5 charakters use physical attacks.) - Over- / Undertuned Maincharacter Classes - Parted into each "have to buy" episodes - Battle avoid system - Riddles/Dungeons are somewhat easy and forseeable (Use this crank, go there, use another crank, open door, bossbattle) If you're looking for some light fun with a very good storyline, this game is for you! Do recommend buying in bundle though.
Game was crazy good for an RPG maker game. Loved the leveling system and the influence part. Loved the tech/skill system in play as well. over all really well done. Just short playtime. I hope the other 2 are much longer but you better believe Im going to buy the other two. once they go on sale.
Incredibly solid variety of gameplay options and decent branching paths. A pretty solid rpg that is definitely worth it when it goes on sale.

The character customization strikes a wonderful balance between user strategy and NPC identity, all while remaining simple, and I think it might be the best I've seen. Bit of advice, though, neither magic nor magic defense have any value early on. Being able to adjust HP would be appreciated. My biggest problem for this is a lack of window mode combined with inability to alt+tab out. The game just freezes. If I were playing this on a dual monitor, wouldn't be a problem, so I did recommend, but for laptop users, stay away.
On November 2nd, 2018 I put in roughly 13 hours into the game and ran into a garbled text error code that prevented me from advancing any further in the game. I went to the "discussions" section and posted my issue in hopes that the dev would provide a solution. Many games and almost 3 years later, I was curious to see if there was any reply. What I found was recent postings complaining about the same issues (today is July 31, 2021). I warn you not to purchase this game and if you doubt my warning, then take a moment to go over to the Heroes of Legionwood discussions section for clarity. i hope this helps someone save money.
I have onyl play 20 minutes but the controls were clunky and some of the skills didn't work as they "should" have done based on their description. e.g. I get poisoned, use somehting to remove poison and it removes some of the poison;'s damage not the poison, meanin a waste Edit Review: The game has changed a lot from when I last played, (My spelling and grammar has too, for what it's worth) and I feel that It's a good basic RPG, Nothing Overly outstanding in terms of - You're the Hero do a thing, but that is basically all RPGs, I am going to attempt to play the game, It now has a class system which I believe it did not have before, so I hope I shall enjoy it. I will recommend this game for now as to basically say - If you would like to try an RPG with class systems, it's one to try, the Music and select sounds are rather reminiscent of games like Dark Souls to me, not sure how intentional this is though. Edit 2: The game is a typical RPG, you can get addicted, but it's repetitive, Also, Speed is Overpowered, just saying.
if you are a Fan of JRPGS and a fan of RPG maker This game is great. The Story of Heroes of Legionwood is pretty average if you play any other Fantasy RPGs which is fine because i like all the characters and the world . The gameplay for this game is challenging and if you don't save you will have to replay a lot of areas. Although I playing this game for 6.8 hours I think is good for the price that is selling for I give this game 8/10
It's unfortunate for me to say that, I couldn't continue playing the game. I usually don't mind turn-based RPG games like this one, but the pace of the battles was so slow and repetitive that it became boring. The story itself isn't that much of a problem, but it feels so used, unoriginal, that it wasn't enough to keep me engaged or made me continue to play the game. I like having different classes to choose from, but it became pointless when you have so much control over how to distribute the points. I don't want to make this too long, and I usually don't like giving bad reviews, but I just couldn't keep this to myself. I feel like I must apologize, but I have to give it a thumbs down.
