Idle clickers are one of my favorite game types, since I work from home, and can have them going in the background. However, idle clickers are most common on mobile platforms. This leads to some very bad practices that do not translate to PC. The cash shop, the insane prices for things, the swiping mechanics. It's a direct port, without any consideration given to the market. Most other idle games at least pretend to know they've changed to a PC. Not impressed so far.
Heroes of Havoc: Idle Adventures is a free to play clicker game that has idle element to be unlocked. It worked on Win 10, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You need to play actively or you will miss stuff like hidden chests in the backgrounds of the stages. You get 3 heroes to start with, and there is four slots for heroes. Has an Solo mode and an Online mode. You can click to speed up the cooldown on one power at a time. You can earn some gems by completing acheivements and events. CONS: - Has a tutorial, but left some details out and was confusing and deceptive. - Game is ported from mobile. You actually lose out playing Steam version because you can watch ads on mobile versions for an extra chest opening. - You can run out of keys for the loot chests. Suposedly you can obtain keys from Hidden chests, Crusades, Visiting Merchants. But hidden chests have RNG loot and takes a key to open. Buy one pack of 10 keys for 25 gems from the Merchant but then have to restock his store with timer or 10 gems. The Crusade is a non repeatible string of stages with increasing difficulty, with less loot crates. - To get another hero for free, you have to gather a number of pieces from Chests in each Boss battle stage, There are 3 chests to chose from and you get 1 free openning, very low RNG drop rate and if you run out of keys then you really have only one chance per boss battle. - You unlock the Idle mode by Collecting Four heroes. - Massive grind to go far for Free. Try it, but delete before you pay real money for this game. Well designed to frustrate you to buying something with real money. Game makers have a serious glitch that if you loose power while playing this game (which if your an advid player it runs 24/7) it makes a glitch (unrecoverable) al doesnt allow you to play the game anymore. I have tried everything in the forums to get it to work and the 100$ i put into this game is for nothing. Game makers are also unwilling to help me recover or even to understand why my game wont load. Cheers to another great game with poor design.
played tons of clicker games such as tap titans, adv capitalist, etc. and i think there are lot more better clicker game than this one.
Not Pure Idle Game
first of all, this game is not pure idle. i can say this is semi idle game. the idle is based on your inventory slot, which started with small capacity, the bigger inventory slot, the more time for idle, and the only way to upgrade it is using your diamond, yes the premium cash in the game.
Premium Cash
diamond is one of most important thing in the game, you can use it to upgrade hero without losing level and item, buying stars, key and lot more. there are many way to get diamond, from daily login, achievement or buy it directly. lot of struggle to upgrade stuff if you want to play without spending money for diamond.
Shop
the shop is broken, some region cant spend money to buy diamonds. reported this issue in the discussion, and still, the shop is broken. and the last thing is
Multiplayer
this is the worst thing in the game, i expect more from the multiplayer. its pay to win and
the shop is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken.
3/10 better work and make money rather than play this game.
Heroes Of Havoc
No Clicking Clicker Hero
This game is bad in a few ways and good in no ways. You sit, you wait you upgrade you repeat. It's a basic idler with combat, but it's not that great. Upgrading takes ages, unlocking everything takes ages while yes that is with a lot of games, but in the sense that you need to earn X amount of gold to unlock some specific mode or a character or something and then continue grinding again. It's just overall boring even for an idler. Also a flaw in the game sometimes you select a place to go then the game goes there and then gets stuck and you need to restart the game to fix it and sometimes the same thing happens even when you don't go anywhere it just gets stuck. I guess that's why this game is free to play cause it would be a crime to have such an annoying bug in a paid game. Also there's like idle modes in the game where your characters are suppose to adventure on their own, but that doesn't work when you set them to idle mode they just literally idle in the same spot and never progress even when you're offline you always come back to a them being in a battle when you launch the game after the first time, but it's always at the same place they were last seen.
So after about a week I think I'm going to give up on this. So where to begin... Season is horribly broken, and there's really not much of a point. Seems that most people are experiencing rewards reverting to the lowest possible teir. In addition to that, there's some kind of exploit (saw some opponents over level 1000). Single player got to be kind of boring after a while. I finally managed to get my last hero today in order to be able to upgrade heroes. After a certain point there's literally no reason for gold in the game. After your last unlock and a few idles you'll have far more gold than you'll know what to do with. Buying things in the shop is stupidly cheap, and upgrading gear is kind of pointless. Having good heroes in offline mode should be the incentive to carry them over to season, but with season being broken it kind of defeats the purpose. Some of the features are just not well thought out. Trials could be a cool concept, but once you get the hero from there, again no point in doing any of them. I like the concept, and I actually like the art, but this game needs a lot of work.
Has some interesting/promising mechanics, but ultimately too much clicking for an idle game. The game has been dead for a long time. Stay away.
Overall By game overall design one of the best idle incremental game on the market. For casual semi-afk gameplay fits very well. Pick your heroes, let them gain experience, collect items, upgrade items. All you need for idle-incremental game is available for you. Item stats even give you options to have some RPG perspective on your heroes. User interface UI is simple and clean. Everything is easy to find and logically placed. Well done graphics. The whole theme throughout the game is good. Not too much details and at same time it has enough details. I specially like the choise of colors and overall simplicity in graphics. GamePlay For idle incremental game the game flow is good. When you are actively playing you can give small boost to your heroes by clicking. Clicking is nicely combined with keyboard shortcuts. But I would not consider this game as Clicker. Clicking is just nice addon for its idle-incremental mechanics. For Free to Play game the ingame shop does not make $$$ players superior. It does give you option to advance faster, but that is fair bonus for investing $$$ ingame. Nice feature I like is that PvP side is separated from your single player advancements. Its moved into 6 day long Season. At the beginning of every season you pick you 5 heroes and during that season you will compete using only those heroes. On Season side at the beginning of the season every player starts with lvl 1 heroes (does not affect your heroes in your main storyline,). So it will somewhat even out the balance between new and old players. Seasons also do not have AFK grinding. So on Seasons active players will be at the top of leaderboards. CONS: It has some bugs in it. The ones I have seen, are not gamebreakers. Couple features would need some balancing. The game cleary has great potential to be successful one. Its not as bad as most commentators have made it look.
