Pretty decent game, I like how many different factions there are, allowing for multiple different ways to make your character more powerful to overpower your enemies. The sole issue I see with it is the fact that it gets very repetitive in contrast to the amount of factions there are. The only thing that changes between runs is your own playstyle, while the NPCs all play the exact same. For one they all cheat, meaning they don’t have to develop and buy units the same way that you do. I don’t mind them cheating all too much, I just wish on the actual field that the factions were coded to act differently. Some more defensively, others focused on capturing buildings, while another would gun it straight towards objectives. Maybe some are different in actual battle, and won’t attack you until they have to absolute advantage or until provoked. The Arcanium bombarding you with a variety of spells, The Wild slowly encroaches as beast arrive from the forest, etc. But with them all being the same, after a certain point you can just guess with 95% accuracy how a game will go, and that point just happens to be right on or even silently before Week 3. Nearly every single time. One more issue is that once you get the ball rolling and your character to level 12-15, there’s nothing the AI can really do to stop you, even if they’re the same level.

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Jul 24 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Plenty of people compare this game to Heroes of Might and Magic, and the influence is there, but Hero's Hour is its own thing. The mechanics take a while to click, and the first hours can feel like visual overload, but the experience pays that back. Turns govern the overworld while the battles resolve in real time, which feels odd at first and becomes natural once you get a grip on it. Combat rewards actual tactics: positioning, unit composition and spell timing all matter when you are facing an army stronger than yours. Variety is where the game really earns its place... monsters, artifacts, races, spells, skills, in enough quantity that after sixty hours of play I am still finding things I have not seen yet.
As someone who played the demo of Hero's Hour in 2022, it is really nice to see that the developers made a few changes to balance things out and make the overall experience much better. However, there are still a few flaws that hold it back. First, if you play in teams, you cannot see the areas that your teammates explore. It would be a huge help to share vision with your allies. Second, the classes are not very well balanced. For example, as a Necromancer, starting right from level two I can turn enemy units into my own undead that permanently stay with my hero. When you combine that with the default Necromancer ability where you have a chance to gain a unit every time an enemy dies, it creates a massive snowball effect. By the late game, it is incredibly easy to gain 200 to 300 units per battle, which makes things a bit too easy. Third, the late-game fort battles can get really tedious. Heroes without any units can easily defeat forts because the defending hero's units are not counted into the army, which is sometimes compounded by bonus weekly units. On bigger maps, this creates scenarios where you might have to sit through 10 to 15 fort attacks where you know you have absolutely zero chance of winning, yet you still have to wait a minute or two just to watch yourself lose. Even though some mechanics still feel a bit unpolished after the game has been out on Steam for a few years, it is still a great game, especially for the current price of around $3. If any of the developers are reading this, I would absolutely love to see a proper underground system in Hero's Hour 2

If you like heroes of might and magic, you will love this one
A really fun game, waiting for the second part
