The definition of a whole lot of nothing, and there's this really weird fetish of Japanese culture - it's not bad to enjoy Japanese culture but some of the responses to a fight against ninjas in one of the routes was just... weird to say the least. The game feels more like throwing a bunch of darts on a board and seeing what sticks (nothing).
Decent game but frustrating. I know these types of games are pretty linear but there are other CYOA superhero games that are much more fun to play than "Genesis". I can't tell if the game is bugged or if it is on rails so much stuff happens regardless of your choices and skill levels. Seriously, I set it at the easiest level and spent the full 1000 points to develop the hero 5 different ways and still get my butt handed to me each time. If you are looking for a good superhero game, skip this one.
Very diverse options! Many different power sets and with varying ranges on your abilities, with a number of story hurdles progressing differently based on your choices. The ability to be a villain is always a plus, as well as violence and non-violence being (usually) viable solutions to a problem. You can tell this was a passionate author, and the difficulty selection as a mechanic was inspired. Certainly enjoyable, especially for the price, with some nice replay value.
Great game fun story and so many choices you can be a hero a villain a vigilante a merc and so many powers to choose from can't wait to see more from the guy who made this.
i love this game but it's a lot of reading for those who dont like reading
Fully enjoyable game
This is a good superhero/supervillian text based choose your own adventure style game. It is everything The Best of Us tried to be and do but couldn't quite pull off. There is a huge amount of character customization possible and despite a huge amount of super powers I felt like the creator pulled off letting you use your powers very well. Id probably like more content but that said there is a good amount. I've played this game on the app as well so I've probably logged about 15 play throughs over all that steam isn't tracking and each time I play I usually discover something I didn't know about before. The game world is well built. I thought the job section seemed a bit thin and repetetive and doesn't seem to change enough depending on career path, but once more this game was a huge undertaking so this is nit picking. So in short if you like the super life style and you want to live as a vigalant, hero, or villian, buy this game and start your super adventure!
good game fun and cheep
Neat story and customizable powers. It's cool that the author is actively updating the game and listening to feedback. Fun read.
Quite liked this one, heaps of customisation to make you unique. Played 2 playthroughs so far - a villian and a recruited Spook.
