Fun
Amazing visual design, great music, and a solid storyline. The game has a few bugs, but the dev is fixing them as soon as they're reported. Everyone is racist towards you, 10/10 experience. A worthy sequel to HS1
This game is essentially a Diablo 2 RPG. It's got some dark and gritty moments, and the class system is fairly unbalanced. Some skills are just straight up useless, while others are hilariously overpowered. It took me around 15 hours to beat the game the first time around, and the second half of the game is when your powers really start to come online and work for you in your favor. The nice thing is you are not locked into your character choices. You can respec as often as you like, so if you picked up a skill that does not work for you, or you just are not feeling a build, you can fix it quickly. The loot in this game is very similar to Diablo as well. You get loot pinatas all over, most of it is literal trash grade to sell off, and some give you effects you need to make yourself a walking murder machine. I enjoyed this game vastly more then I expected.
I was a fan of the first game. Got a bug and was resolved promptly by the dev. Love the theme and world building. 9/10
I loved the first game, so I couldn’t wait for this one to release. I was genuinely excited, and the demo had me even more hyped. But after playing for 49+ hours, I’m starting to get tired of fighting the same enemies over and over again. Certain areas feel painfully repetitive, and it becomes boring fast. Some of the boss fights also rely on really cheap mechanics that basically force you to die, retry, or go grind for money just to adjust your build. I don’t mind grinding in games, but when the enemy variety is this limited, it becomes exhausting instead of fun. If the game had a bigger range of enemies, I could forgive almost everything else — because the music is awesome, the art style is beautiful, and the story is dark and genuinely interesting. I do love this game, but it definitely needs work. I would still recommend it, but I’d warn people that they’re in for some repetitive, boring fights. I love the developers and can’t wait to see what they create next.
