Very cool hand drawn art style and lots of effort put into voice acting. Would recommend!
Plays a lot like Chrono Trigger. It's fun if you like those top down RPG types of games.
Odyssey of Dremid'ir is an impressive new indie retro RPG that feels like a love letter to late 90's/early 2000's PC gaming mixed with some of the classic SNES RPGs. I picked up a physical copy (of a PC game in 2026!) last weekend and loaded it up for the first time tonight and played for an hour or two. So far my favorite thing about the game is the hand-drawn art - it's unique and impressively done here. Other positives: I'm digging the story, the combat works well, the music is great, and it has voice acting (fav so far is the forest spirit). I'm looking forward to spending a lot more time playing and seeing more of the story and characters.
I really want to like this game. It has all the elements I want in an RPG... The art style and the voice acting is what killed it for me. It's hard to take it seriously... It all comes off very silly. I feel like I'm playing through a school play voice acted by teachers and drawn by kindergarteners. There is a game here to be respected though. It also comes with a manual which is pretty cool. The combat system isn't bad either. The game just didn't grasp me for whatever reason... Perhaps I might give it another try once it goes on a sale for half price... I really give this a "Check it out for yourself" and see if it clicks with you. It isn't bad, it's just not for me. I play some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=455LX-7kXr4&t=13s
This game is a game. I played it. It crashed somtimes. Slayed some beasts. Got drunk every combat. Hooked up with Alta (based) Overall had a great time Game didnt start jerking me off mid combat - rep.
I've played only a few minutes, but have to write a review, because this is so impressive! And for some reason I don't understand there're no reviews. Some people drew a whole RPG, and it's beautiful and unique! I've never seen any game looking like this. It even has (amateur) voice acting, nice music and more options (like key rebinding) than some games triple the price. It starts slow, as many of these games, but based on the video on the store page I'm sure it will pick up the pace. I's a little bit clunky, but in a charming way, as everything in it feels selfmade. As it probably is. It pains me that games like this, screaming "passion project" with every pixel, end up without gaining any recognition.
