Saw the trailer. Thought I'd become humanity's greatest soldier. Reality: I salute. I dive. I explode. I get reinforced. Repeat. I have died so many times that my Super Destroyer crew greets me with, "Welcome back... again." 10/10. Would sacrifice myself for democracy one more time. 👍 Recommended
Gonna edit this thing since I actually care about this. Helldivers: The game that didn't enjoy it's own success. I honestly believe that either the original developers of this got fired, their work stolen or something equally as dramatic. This is a game that suddenly decided it wanted to be something else despite being damn good at what it was. It was an horde shooter that knew how to stick to it's own spectacle and story, despite it being so little of it. It was common to see people roleplaying as liberators or the likes just because it was so damn fun. There were hordes of big enemies that you could take down somewhat easily while numbers alone were enough to keep the show, the rest was just the icing on top. Then, it decided that it wanted to be dark souls for some reason? Literally mentioning elden ring as it's inspiration in terms of difficulty. This is like if I had a chess program and decided I wanted it to be as fast paced as counter strike. Heard that there was a big mess at the study and the devs got swapped or something, didn't really look into it much but it would make a lot of sense. Since then everything seems so odd. Like, balancing in favour of the enemies rather than the players? It's not even difficult in any meaningful sense, it's just tedious. Giving a fast moving, flying enemy more health than most "tanks" and the capacity for instakilling you if you are not in a paid armour it's not really difficult. It's really cheap. Somehow they managed to make the super credits feel like the currency of mobile freenium games and it's just odd and sad. You can still have fun, yeah, more so if you play with friends. But somehow it managed to get a really strange community too. Somehow people take it personally if you say anything that doesn't line up perfectly with their beliefs online, maybe they are roleplaying as one of the "freedom officers" or whatever but it has gotten to the point that it's a known fact that you will get some odd argument if you say anything by the likes. First game that makes me wonder how console players insult you through chat too, guess they are just that inspired to do so that they use the terrible interface to type stuff. Oh well. Dive in carefully if you are gonna do I guess, may end up spending more than you intended and wondering where the fun went after

Thing go boom
stupid game that kill you with bugs
what the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kind of clinkoid is this? this is the pyro trooper, it will toast your ass like a marshmellow if it gets close. rest in piss, toaster what kind of future scrap is this? this is the automaton drop ship, it will drop a million metal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right on top of you. hate this binary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i dont feel like writing the last one. great game but ♥♥♥♥ the gunships annoying mosquitos
It uses Easy Anti Cheat. Can't play it and won't play it. My Money is safe and will be spent on games that DO NOT HAVE easy anti cheat as cheater protection. Banning EAC from my games.
