best birthday gift ever one of my friends strapped c4 onto me, told me to charge into enemies, but all the enemies were dead. so he told me to come back so we can use me for later he then proceeded to click the detonator, killing me, himself, and another friend of ours. and then we extracted now thats what I call democracy
I love this game and would highly recommend it. The problems I have with the game are the same as many others: Sony's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti consumerist practices, slow and underwhelming content updates, and frustrating rebalancing. But for me, these are all minor issues. The story is fun and goofy, the gameplay is fast paced and addicting, and the XP and in game currency feels fair. It's apparent that ArrowHead loves their game and it's community, and really strives to make a good product, flaws and all.
I stepped into Hellpod. I listened to the sweet, patriotic brass section of the main menu music. I was ready to spread liberty. Here is a brief timeline of my last match: 0:00 – Dropped into the map. Instantly crushed my teammate's mech with my pod. Freedom requires sacrifices. 1:15 – Saw a massive, terrifying Bug Breach. 1:20 – Panicked and called in a 500kg Bomb. 1:22 – The beacon bounced off a scavenger bug's forehead and landed directly at my own feet. 1:25 – Discovered that while liberty is shield-shaped, it is not blast-proof. Redeployed. 3:40 – Found a cool, fully automatic shotgun. Felt like a god. 3:42 – My teammate "accidentally" tested his new Tesla Tower right behind me. I am now charcoal. 15:10 – Successfully extracted after running in circles screaming for 5 minutes while being chased by three Bile Titans and a Stalker that actively gaslit me into thinking it wasn't there. The Verdict "An absolute 10/10 simulator for PTSD, friendly fire, and bureaucratic propaganda." If you love the smell of napalm, the taste of charger armor, and getting ragdolled across half a square mile because a teammate threw a cluster strike slightly too close to your pinky toe, this is the game for you. Note: My local Democracy Officer told me I would get extra Super Credits if I left a positive review. Please send help, the Automatons have learned how to use gunships. For Super Earth! 🫡 Let's go get team-killed by a mortar turret again.
