Hellblusser is a action dungeon crawler where you play as a young prince travelling through a dungeon as you use your skills with a blade and sorcery of fire to defeat a wind range of foes. I love this little game. Simple ideas executed very well and entertaining boss fights that challenge you to be a little more perceptive. Really fun achievements that motivate you to try different ways of playing without feeling like a chore. Totally worth 5 bucks!
I love this game, I wish it was longer or maybe I even a sequel? graphics are great game mechanics interesting very simple and easy going feeling overall great game
Great little game, with a nice amount of replayability for the price! Very unique visual style, tight controls and the fire collecting/shooting mechanic is a lot of fun. There is some strategy and planning involved in choosing between healing your character, or going to the shop to choose from four random upgrades. I was able to put in about 10 hours before getting all the achievements. Depending on the (random) upgrades you get, it can be quite difficult, but overall I'd say the difficulty was spot on. Definitely one of Sokpop's better games! A few minor complaints: - The urban club-beat soundtrack just doesn't fit the game at all. This isn't NFS, man! - Outlines are too thick on sub 1080p resolutions (e.g. Steam Deck). It's playable, but outlines will be so heavy text is almost impossible to read. - If you're aiming for specific achievements, it can be a bit too RNG dependant sometimes. - Bosses can be hard to figure out... especially if you don't speak Dutch ;) Just look it up. Otherwise all good, runs well, plays well!
A great fast-paced game that has simple mechanics that took me hours without getting bored. Having control settings might be better because the default is kinda weird.
It's fun, is easy to learn, and it's CHEAP. This is a very simple rogue-lite with some amazingly charming graphics and super simple gameplay. You can probably knock this game out in a couple of hours and the gameplay is smooth as butter once you learn it. Check this game out and see what awaits you in the dungeons.
Pretty good roguelite. No metaprogression which I like far more than games with too much metaprogression.
Well, can't say I wasted my time, goofy sokpop lives up to their entertaining core values once again!
I like this
Repetitive, buggy, upgrades are as basic as can be and the skull boss takes forever even after you understand the completely arbitrary thing they want you to do. Also you can cheese any level by restarting it, you start at the beginning with full health again.
