About
Hell Galaxy is a thrilling singleplayer space shooter that blends weird fiction, dark gritty sci-fi, and transhumanism into a unique gaming experience. Take control of a raider — an ex-convict turned bio-ship hybrid — and carve out your place in the dangerous Galaxy of Neterun, where you have been exiled for eternity.
Accused of murder and stripped of your human body, you awaken as something new: a consciousness fused into the metal shell of a bio-ship. Flesh and bone are a memory — what's left of you now lives in the hull, the modules, the guns you bolt onto yourself. In Neterun there is no going back to human, only forward, into whatever deadlier thing you choose to become. Rise above rival raiders and uncover the secrets buried in ancient Neterunian ruins.
Every encounter in Neterun is a fight on two fronts: your hull can be torn apart, but so can your mind. Shift your focus between balanced, aggressive, and defensive states and adapt on the fly to what's hunting you — the ghostly creatures of this galaxy threaten your sanity as much as your armor. Read each enemy, reconfigure your build, and choose which part of yourself you're willing to risk: the ship that keeps you alive, or the mind that keeps you you.
Your survival depends on a fully customizable ship. Gather resources and install modules, starting from your cockpit, to reshape yourself into an ever-deadlier raider.
Experiment with countlessc ombinations and adapt to the dangers of exile — no two raiders have to be built the same way.
Explore a visually stunning galaxy rich with forgotten lore, shadowy ruins, and hostile creatures that threaten both body and mind. Encounter rival raiders, uncover the stories of other exiles, and piece together a world where humanity is only a distant memory.

The game is just ok. As everyone else says, its buggy (left-over text and icons disappear), it stutters to a halt on good hardware, and it crashes a lot. Shame, as for a discounted price, it is a nice idea.
Game looks interesting but optimisation is terrible, very stuttery, input noticeably lags, I can't play like that.
I went into Hell Galaxy not expecting much, especially since this isn't usually my cup of tea, but it’s honestly been a pleasant surprise. The game nails that eerie, lonely atmosphere of deep space—dark visuals, unsettling ambient sounds, and just the right amount of tension to keep you on edge. That said, it’s definitely still Early Access. I’ve run into a few small bugs (UI icons disappearing, some stuttering when loading new areas), and performance could use a bit more optimization even on stronger rigs. If you enjoy atmospheric space games and don’t mind a few rough edges, this one’s worth checking out!
I'm so sorry, the game is unplayable. The first mission is impossible. You have 10 seconds to complete it otherwise these things just kill you no matter what. The reset thing works but the other thing that is suppose to get rid of them doesn't work at all. Huge bummer.
I playied it on the steam deck and i found it very pleasing, it runs pretty well, of course it isn't perfect but for the price i'm having a lot of fun! Just... please add controller support, i've had to do some tinkering in order to play it.
Bought it today and started playing right away: Hell Galaxy manages to capture a really unique atmosphere right from the start. The combination of eerie sci-fi visuals, tense sound design, and fluid ship controls makes exploring space genuinely fun and sometimes even cinematic. Combat has weight, and the game does a good job of making you feel like you’re in a hostile, mysterious galaxy rather than just another shooter. Still, there’s room for improvement. Even on a fairly powerful setup (RTX 4070, 40GB RAM), I noticed occasional stutters while running at max settings—sometimes even during simple tutorial transitions. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does show that optimization isn’t fully there yet. Hopefully, this will be one of the areas the devs polish first. Despite those hiccups, the core experience is engaging and has plenty of promise. The world feels distinct, the mechanics are fun, and there’s a clear foundation for the game to grow into something special. If you’re okay with the usual Early Access quirks, Hell Galaxy is definitely worth jumping into.
HELL GALAXY is a great game for anyone who loves space travel. The ship's maneuverability is super responsive, and attacking enemies is very satisfying. It's a joy to play, especially with a controller! Recommended.
I can't beat the turrets, I keep getting killed, I'm stuck can't get past the dam turrets they keep killing me
