About
You wake up in the depths of Hell, but it isn’t the demons you should fear. Holy angels are descending from the heavens to purge the abyss, and you are their prey. To survive, you must take command of Hell’s denizens and rewrite the laws of nature.
Hell Deck is a dark, twisted roguelike deckbuilder defense game. Here, the battlefield is a living, breathing, and volatile ecosystem where survival is bought with flesh. Force your units into a brutal cycle of predation and sacrifice, engineer a grotesque food chain, and repel the holy onslaught.
"WHY DO YOU DOUBT THIS PARADISE?"

Forget everything you know about good and evil. In this world, angels are the apex predators hunting you down. Lead the demons of the abyss, adapt to the harsh reality of the underworld, and turn the holy invasion into a crimson feast.

Your units don’t just stand in formation—they hunt each other. Master a unique "Ecosystem Deckbuilding" mechanic where power is consolidated through cannibalism. Accidental placements and deliberate sacrifices trigger grotesque biological mutations, turning weak grunts into god-like apex predators.

Space is your most precious resource. On a strictly limited tile grid, every single placement can trigger an uncontrollable chain reaction. Manage your hand, monitor your inventory bag, and orchestrate the perfect biological synergy to decimate hundreds of oncoming enemies at once.

Death is merely part of the experiment. As a mysterious, omniscient voice watches over your failures—promising to "fix you" each time you break—you will unlock permanent upgrades upon returning to the lobby.

Addictive!!! Love the synergy involved with each card, some cards consume others, some create others and you can create ridiculously long loops which just hit right in the spot, not to mention the card upgrades which change the synergy of each card completely. Just finished ascension 1 and I can confidently say it is not just a point and click, it takes brains and prediction in order to create viable decks that can take you far. For the money this game is more than an absolute steal.
카드 제외나 초반에 시너지 맞는 유물이나 카드 주는 덱 같은 기능도 있으면 좋겠음. 그래도 1,100원이면 충분히 즐길만한듯

This is an enjoyable rogueliite, and the synergies are fun to experiment with. One of the ways to upgrade your units is to devour other units, so getting an engine going is important. Some units also have adjacency effects that buff other units. As you defeat enemies, you gain souls, which you can spend on relics (continuous passive effects), items (one-time effect used during battle), or use to remove units for your deck of units. During each combat wave, your units are randomly pulled from your deck of units and randomly placed on a 4x4 grid where they auto-battle the enemies as the enemies circle around the grid. This makes the game a riff on the tower defense genre. You lose if the number of enemies (shown on a meter) reaches 100. The further you get in your run, the number and rate of spawning of enemies increases. At the beginning of the game, you do get to choose one cursor effect from several options. Hovering your cursor over one of your units buffs it or debuffs an enemy. This gives the player some agency in the mostly auto-battle combat. That said, the hit box on the elite units that you battle is quite small, so maintaining your cursor on the elite is quite (too?) challenging. Might be a skill issue for me. Devs, this could be a nice option to change in settings for players Much of the descriptive text is unnecessarily small. Devs, I'd recommend increasing the size, or adding a UI scaling option. The game runs great on the Steam Deck using Proton Experimental. I mapped one of the back buttons to toggle the magnifier, and that helps with the tiny text. The game interfaces with the 2026 Steam Controller very well. I have the Windows Magnifier tool set to toggle on one of the back buttons, because you can't read the small text from the couch. I'm currently about 6 hours in. It looks like there are 13 increasingly difficult bosses. I have been unlocking new units as I progress through the game. I have currently unlocked 59/66 units, although is seems likely that the total number of available units will increase as I progress through the game. My W/L record for the bosses is so far: 1: 1/0 2: 1/6 3: 0/7 I spent a buck on the game, and have totally gotten more than a buck's enjoyment out of it. Should you buy it? Yes, if you have one of these control schemes available: - Steam Deck (and you don't mind using the magnifier) - Couch with 2026 Steam Controller, wireless mouse, or something like the Logitech K400 Plus (and you don't mind using the magnifier) - Sitting at a desk (and even there the descriptive text might be small - I'm not sure)

This game is pretty fun. It's like a bloons meets slay the spire. For a dollar, literally no reason not to try it out. Lots of unexpected synergies can lead to some truly crazy runs that feel like they differ quite a bit from each other keeping things fresh. If you like roguelikes, definitely worth a shot.
It's really hard. Like Slay The Spire 1 Ascension 20 hard. But it's good.
