Hegis' Grasp is a story-driven, atmospheric survival horror game. Play as Henry Wood, a curious journalist investigating rumors of what is happening to the once peaceful village, Hegis. It will be up to you how this story ends, but first, you must survive the insanity of the natives within this damned place.

Achievements are completely broken for money collection, the enemies spawn outside of the playable area, they are everywhere we are surrounded, get ready men. Took years to make and couldn't even get the moustaches to work or having thousands of Englishman reinforcements.

It's fun....
2/10
There are quite a few bugs in the game -Rain sound bug most of the game - After you come out of jail and you die, you do not have the opportunity to open the backpack (missing) - Control is poorly optimized - The last boss man with fire can not die - If you play in first person lags more than if it's in three person view

Hegis' Grasp: Evil Resurrected is a mixed bag of a horror, action game that is hurt from a lot of bugs, okay the story. The quaint and quite little village of Hegis has changed, reports of a curse and monsters roaming around, the government sends a small group of soldiers to check out the rumors only to never come back. Now it's up to this one soldier who arrived with his commanding officer and a young carriage driver to see what happened to the other soldiers and to find out the truth, but doing so might be more than they bargained for. Now then the likes, the gameplay is okay it's nothing too complicated just shoot the enemies and make it all the way to the end of the level, there's no real challenge to it and is these only one puzzle, but it's quite simple to figure out and barely counts as a puzzle. The story is okay if not a bit confusing, but you can figure some of it out via notes and some cutscenes. The graphics are okay, I have seen it done better in other indie games but these are serviceable in this game, but there is just some odd animation when it comes to characters though. The levels are okay nothing special you're traveling through forests and creepy Village and then to a beach, it's not bad. The music in the game is good with some nice tracks to listen too. The weapons in the game are okay you have your standard shotgun and pistols, you even have an indestructible sword which is nice and if you have enough money you can buy an infinite Tommy Gun. The voice acting was okay, pretty wooden but it was serviceable. The enemies and bosses were pretty good you have your simple villagers, but you also have more unique monsters, they were pretty interesting to look at. The notes are okay they can be a bit hard to read sometimes. The characters are okay not really interesting or flushed out, but their serviceable. The atmosphere is okay when you play for the first time it can be pretty spooky. Now is the game scary, well when you first play it yeah, but as you play it for a couple times it isn't as scary. Now then the dislikes, there are a lot of bugs in this game and I mean a lot, nothing really game breaking except if you're playing survivor mode. Here are some of the bugs that are in the game in one level I killed a wolf when it jumped out the window then saved my game, but when I loaded my save file the wolf jumped out of the window again, but disappeared. Another time I kill this wolf, but then it got stuck to me for some time until I was able to run away fast enough. Then there's this one level where you escape a prison, but after escaping it and I saved my game them quit and then reloaded my game for some reason the cutscene that played when I arrived at the prison plays again and when I played the game proper it says I don't have my bag even though I already got it. But the worst bug is this achievement that called the story unfolds basically you're supposed to find all of your notes this guy made and I did, but the achievement didn't pop up even though I've collected all of them three times. Now there is this really annoying enemy in the game, basically when you kill a villager they soon turn into this invincible monster I don't know why but it was really annoying, especially when I killed a lot of villagers and they just turned into invincible monsters. There was also this one enemy that showed up this demon looking creature carrying two axes, you can't kill him because he seems to be invincible. So I just ran away and escaped him, but strangely enough he never shows up after that you only see him that one time. Also the game can be too dark sometimes like when I first started the game and got to be night time it was so dark I had to turn up my brightness on the game just to be able to find out where I was going.
Also there are two endings the first ending is if you abandon the village you die pretty quickly in an unwinnable fight, but in the second ending after you kill this monster the game just kind of ends, it just said thank you for playing, there's no cutscene or anything like that it just ends.
Now that I said all that Hegis' Grasp: Evil Resurrected is a mixed bag of a horror, action game that is hurt from a lot of bugs, there are some things like about the game with okay gameplay, okay graphics and an okay story. This game probably would have been a solid B, but all those bugs in the game it just brings down the quality of it, honestly I wouldn't recommend this game even though it is free at least until these bugs have been fixed then I'd recommend it as a time waster.
