Is there ever going to be a update? Why dont they work on that awesome game?

Even though somewhat unpolished, this game is one of the most enjoyables for me since some time and nonetheless very playable. The only thing that really bothers me is, that there has been no update since some time and it seems like this game has been abandoned, which really would be a shame, since i can only recommend it for it's unique atmosphere and decend gameplay, gunplay and graphics, even in this state. Things that should have been made better (since it seems to stay in EA forever): The order of the savegames can be somewhat confusing. There should be unique names or screenshots. Some spots look rough and unfinished, like a bridge leading right into a rock formation and some of the terrain. Everything else is just very appealing to me. I would totally buy episode 2, if it ever comes out.
A valiant effort for what I would assume is a small and inexperienced team. There are a few spots where I almost had nonprogression. Once when my boat got stuck in collision, another where there is a zip line that kills you unless you get lucky and drop off at just the right spot (no indication of where it is). Then there are things you need to use but the world design shows their inexperience, a big one for me was a switch in an elevator that I just didn't notice. I ran around for ages, going in and out of the elevator, I didn't find it until I went and watched a playthrough of that spot. The switch just blended in to the background if you didn't know where it was. It also seems like they left in their debug features turned on, most notably an indicator in the corner that tells you things like if you are in water, or on a ladder, etc... Truly an unfinished game, literally not finished, no ending you just get stuck and they say more coming. I think if the team picked this back up it could shape up to be a decent little experience, but as it stands (seemingly abandoned) I would say pass on this one.
A great game. It's a shame that further development seems to be have been stalled (though they seem to be continuing), but what's there is already enough for your money. I've experienced no bugs, it's some hours of playtime and it's a great game: The setting is great, you can always change between "monster" form (for climbing, melee etc.) and "human" form (for firearms, interactions, reading...). There are puzzles, some Steampunk technology and a good gameplay flow. The levels are open and you can decide in which order you do things. You can also miss out on some stuff. It also has horror elements, though the horror aspect never gets overwhelming (you can always fight back, there are no invincible enemies). The gunplay is very good and weapons feel impactful - you really have to aim (no crosshair!). The graphics are fantastic, especially for a team of just two people. The Cryengine is really showing here. I hope development continues (right now, only a small part of the levels and the story if finished / accessible) and the problems are improved upon (e.g. performance, melee hit detection, world building, things to do besides the linear main story). It seems like the devs are actually coming back, but even what is there now is more than enough for that price.
игру к сожалению забросили тк обновлений нет уже несколько лет, но то что успели наваять авторы определенно достойно внимания.
So this is how it ends? You invent a fantastic game, get the money and leave it like that? Just why!
I've been stuck for years.I like the look of the game.. everything works..i'm just stumped.. i'm still trying.
nice, very nice .. :)
Vale la pena jugarlo... esperando la segunda parte.
