About
From Campfire to Kingdom. Citybuilder Clicker.
Hearth and Hamlet is a cozy incremental citybuilder set in a magic-filled medieval pixel art world. Gather resources, assign workers, construct buildings and slowly, steadily turn a quiet frontier camp into a magnificent, thriving kingdom.
From humble beginnings to magical new heights, you’ll grow your settlement one decision at a time and discover more of what the world has to offer along the way.
Building is only the beginning. As your settlement grows, managing it becomes just as important as expanding it. Set laws and policies to shape how your kingdom operates, including taxation rules to boost income, rules for workers that keep morale high, city guard drafts to protect your population and civic decisions that change the character of your kingdom.
Every upgrade feeds into a research tree that permanently unlocks new technologies, from more advanced buildings and new policies, to stronger magic to experiment with. There’s always something worth working toward.
Unlock magic as your city advances and discover wild new possibilities, such as alchemical labs and magical academies that add a whole new dimension to how your kingdom operates.
Trade with strange new lands to build resources and grow your economy. Recruit soldiers as your realm expands to protect what you’ve built. There’s a world of wonder to discover as your empire grows.

cozy wallpaper after finished. I hope the devs can remove the HUD completely. honestly, sprites and background really suit as idle game wallpaper
I'm writing this mostly because I'm surprised how many negative reviews this game got. It's not normally the type of game I'd write a review on, however I'm happy I played it, and had I seen all the negative reviews, I wouldn't have. So if you're like me, maybe give it a try- you always have the first two hours to refund anyways, give it a shot! It doesn't have any replayability due to "railroading", but I don't need to play this again, I got the experience the creators wanted me to get out of the game, and I enjoyed it! I think they made a really well paced game that's supported by gorgeous evolving art. The music, while I wish there was a little more variety, had enough, and was relaxing and fit the theme well. The story, I wish was pushed a little more, so I would care just a tad more. But otherwise, it was unintrusive, so maybe that was their goal and that's alright. I was delighted to go on that journey, and would easily pick up another game like this in a heartbeat if the devs made more. An expansion, a whole 'nother time period, or theme. Do I think some systems could have been expanded on a bit more? Sure. Do I think it's advertising makes it sound like your decisions that you make from who you are as a person would have more of an impact? Definitely. But I sure as hell enjoyed relaxing and taking my time experiencing what was set out before me. And it's a shame it's over, cause I'll have to wait for them to make something new before I can do it again.

Great game, loved every second! 9/10 The only complaint I really have is that I wish there were more settings to customize. And the fact that you have to beat the game on every difficulty to 100% it is a little annoying. A fun thing to add to the game (not needed but would be extra brownie points) would be to have a "custom" difficulty where we can adjust different things in the game.
good partial idle game
I'm recommending the game even though it wasn't for me and I didn't really enjoy it, because for those people that do enjoy this style, it's perfect for them. Pros: - Good price - Attractive art style - Fully customisable difficulty/gathering speed/peaceful mode Con: - Holding the mouse button to collect resources is 90% of the game - Linear - No choices I'm over 2 hours in and every next build choice is the obvious one. I need to build X but I don't have enough storage, so I upgrade storage, but I need a lot of X resource so I upgrade the resource production of that resource, now I can build X. In between each step I held the mouse for between 3-5 minutes collecting X resource. For some people this is fun and I enjoy idle games, but in this game there's just enough to make you have to pay attention, but not enough to make you want to.
Absolutely enjoyable. I hope there will be further content in the future!
A well made game in all its simplicity that tells the story of building a kingdom from the ground up!
