Heart Star

cute lil platformer that i remember playing when flash was still a thing flash died nearly 4 years ago at the time of writing by the way.

I like Adventure Islands games; bite-sized retro platformers with decent level design. Not the best thing since sliced bread, not the best games ever, but neat enough.

It's a cute little platformer that has just enough jank to stop me from calling it great. If you can manage controlling two characters at the same time, then this is a decent romp.

Cute puzzle game that you can complete in about an hour. I played this on mobile back in the day when it first came out and it is just as fun as I remember.

[h3]Uhhhh...[/h3] Perfectly serviceable puzzle platformer using that old "two overlaid worlds, you can partially interact with each other" design (no unique per world mechanics). It really doesn't do much, with the few added mechanics as you go through the levels all being rather basic, but it does what it does mostly well. That mostly is because waaaaay too many of its levels (not necessarily a majority, but enough to be noticeable) are symmetrical. This means you roughly have to do the same thing, only twice. Not something that's inherently bad, but it makes the better levels run worse and makes the lesser ones amplified. Probably not worth buying on its own (not bad enough for a thumbs down by my standards), but it's a nice addition to Adventure Island's platformer bundle.

November 27th, 2024 Update: I Finally Finished 100% Heart Star!!!!!!!!! Goodbye and farewell Heart Star!!!!!!!!!!!! Heart Star was a short, cute but overall fun 2D mini puzzle Platformer video game!!!! The goal is to do an on off switch between the male and female characters in order to proceed through the stages. It can be long since there's 60 levels in total. But however, there really fun to master and solve! Plus, it feels rewarding the figure out to complete the puzzle! If you love 2D mini puzzling platforming. Then you need to play Heart Star!!!! Goodbye and farewell Heart Star!
