10 hours in and it feels like I'm playing Harvest Moon 64 again, and I freaking love it!
Definitely not a perfect game, but has a very enjoyable gameplay loop. I would overall recommend to Harvest Moon fans as I have a lot of fun with myself, although I have a couple main critiques to keep in mind; -Visually, it feels boring. NPCs look VERY similar outside of love interests [two per village] to the point it's easy to get them confused even with the names. Towns also feel barren even after repair; it feels less 'small villages' and more 'three people live around a campfire' at times in terms of population. The size of the map, while overall a good thing, unfortunately adds to this feeling, and there are minimal groups of animals to fill the landscape. Even a few background creatures or non-love interest NPCs with more diverse designs would greatly help in my opinion. Cutscenes are also rather flat. The art style is NOT bad by any means, just the visuals feel barren with the lack of people and minimal movements even in cutscenes makes the game visually rather bland at times. This is probably my biggest gripe. -Gathering seeds can be a chore. If you don't like exploring, this isn't for you. Shops only sell three of each seasonal seed per week, and you have to get the others via harvest sprites scattered around the map, ALSO in small quantities. The only thing you can get in unlimited supply is grass, which is used for fodder. Upping the weekly amount would be greatly helpful, especially in later game when you have larger farm space. -Many of the regular quests repeat. Get Anna 5 bronze, get Nemo 5 iron, get Katya 10 material stone, etc. etc. etc. At this point I have given Anna enough bronze to start her own mine. While those quests have no deadline, when everyone is constantly requesting the same things a week at most after you got that thing for them, that gets to be a bit tiring. You can just not do them, but it doesn't change how it's a bit boring that it is almost never shaken up. -I use a PS5 controller, which while it works perfectly fine, displays completely incorrect glyphs in-game. It displays buttons for [I believe] an Xbox controller, which I don't own and never have. Unsure if this is a Steam or game issue, but if you also use a PS5 controller, keep that in mind. It particularly gets confusing when the screen says X but it actually means square. But even with this, the game is still very fun. The gameplay loop is solid, the mutation system for crops is great, and being able to move your farm/home to different locations is awesome. Additionally, as each area matches a season, you can grow crops outside of their preferred season [just inside that zone] or during their season go to a different zone and test for mutations. Fishing is easy to get a hang of, and the game tells you in the encyclopedia where certain materials are most common [ex; Titanium in Lilikala mines] so you don't have to keep track of it yourself. Additionally, the unique designs of the love interests are lovely [Nikolai, Ella and Arnold are my personal favourite designs], and you can marry anyone regardless of gender, so no need to stew over playing who you want. It's very enjoyable, but definitely not perfect. If you can enjoy it for what it is, I would very much recommend it. It's relaxing and great to unwind.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Not worth 25$ on sale.
This game actually fun
Very slow start but hang in there, it won't be too long before you get a horse and then unlock fast travel. Pros: Bonding & taming with so many cool wild animals (wolves, bears, owls, foxes, zebras, etc). Lots of cool exploration in a big and diverse map. Cute storyline. Cozy. Cons: SUPER grindy in every sense. Endless repeat quests (the villagers will never stop asking for the same things over and over again). You can't complete all the steam achievements unless you buy the DLCs (only a con for completionists).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ENGLISH I decided to give it a chance and play until I got married, and I can say with confidence that it’s mediocre. Unless you find it for about 4 bucks, I don’t recommend it for these reasons: - It’s an absolute rip-off that you have to pay for a DLC to get fully upgraded tools. Did you guys make it your goal to ruin the Harvest Moon name even further or what? - Crops and farm animals barely make any profit. The balance is so bad that fishing is by far the most profitable activity in the game. Farming is only useful for a few quest turn-ins. - Character controls for planting, watering, etc., are very clunky and tedious. It’s even worse when collecting items in the world, since you have to stand at a very specific angle to pick them up (especially when riding a mount). - The daily dialogue of the characters is literally two or three lines. Even after getting married, only ONE extra line was added to my spouse, it feels incredibly empty. I didn’t even bother having a child for such mediocre and scarce interactions. And the romance events… ugh. The only interesting thing is that you can have a best friend, and that’s it. - Speaking of empty, the towns and world feel the same way, especially Lilikala. When you increase a town’s star level, it supposedly improves visually, but it feels like a “spot the difference” game with how little actually changes. - The only three reasons to explore the open world are golden acorns (to upgrade your stamina/inventory), animals, and seeds. And remember, farming isn’t very useful or fun in this game. Also, the volcano map is terrible, even the developers don’t seem to understand it, which is probably why they put WOODEN SIGNPOSTS. Inside a volcano. They didn't even give it a second thought. - They have placed the assets so poorly that I’ve already seen several rocks floating. You can tell how little care and how rushed they were when creating it. - I didn’t expect this, but the sound effects when cooking, crafting at your workbench, using the fertilizer machine, etc., are extremely annoying. The same goes for visiting the goddess, it’s unbearably irritating and makes me want to leave the area/house as soon as possible. The volcano’s ambient sound is also “realistic,” but just as annoying. Honestly, your sense of reality must be warped if you think your game is worth that money.
